Oh my gosh, I've been offline way too long. I didnt't know ya'll were planning on meeting in Philly. I'm in Arlington now, but I grew up about 30 minutes outside of the city. I'd love to finally meet some BBers.

Sounds fun Tony Love. Is it new? I remember researching tours/activities in the Chicago area, and don't remember seeing that. Have you been there? Chicago's a great city.

SC steps outside. He is dressed in a well-worn sweat suit with a hood, gloves and sneakers. It is pitch dark and his steaming breath attests to the cold.

He begins running down the center of the deserted street. He can only be clearly SEEN as his form passes beneath the street lamps.

Two garbage men stop hoisting cans to watch him pass.

EXT. ART MUSEUM STAIRS - DAWN

SC stands at the base of an overwhelmingly steep flight
of stairs. He stares up at the stairs that nearly disappear
into the morning gray. Taking a deep breath, he starts up.

From the start, he looks out of shape and halfway up his
legs give way. Standing, he brushes off and descends the
stairs.

INT. SC'S DRESSING ROOM - NIGHT

Geoff
"...It's time, kid."

SC nods and moves toward TIS.

TIS
"...I'll wait for you here."

SC nods and Both TIS & Consigliere's Lady kiss him. The fighter leaves with his trainers... TIS and Consigliere's Lady are on the verge of tears.


INT. ARENA - NIGHT

TIS stands at the rear of the arena and watches the battle. She is entranced by the power of it all.

Back in the ring, SC keeps grinding ahead. He plants a thumping left over the Champion's heart and Creed winces...
SC is game but losing.

At ringside Geoff is frantic... He is living the fight from
his seat.

Cardi looks proud. The Bodyguard, impassive.

Years later, Geoff and SC in the back of a cab driven by AppleOnYa, speeding along the waterfront at 4 m.p.h.:

Geoff: How much you weigh, slugger? When you weighed 168 pounds, you were beautiful. You could have been another Billy Conn. That skunk we got you for a manager, he brought you along too fast.

SC: It wasn't him, Geoff! It was you. You remember that night in the Garden, you came down to my dressing room and said: 'Kid, this ain't your night. We're going for the price on Vercetti.' You remember that? 'This ain't your night!' My night! I coulda taken Vercetti apart! So what happens? He gets the title shot outdoors in the ball park - and whadda I get? A one-way ticket to Palookaville. You was my brother, Geoff. You shoulda looked out for me a little bit. You shoulda taken care of me - just a little bit - so I wouldn't have to take them dives for the short-end money.

Geoff: I had some bets down for you. You saw some money.

SC: You don't understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am. Let's face it ...... It was you, Geoff.

Oooops, got carried away here. Sorry. (Its simply one of the best scenes EVER to appear on the silver screen).

I agree with you though, I love that whole exchange between Stieger and Brando. As you said it is perhaps one of cinema's best scenes on the silver screen.

Do you mind if I finsh the story though?

Here's some more :

SC - "Why'd you say that thing about Don Vercetti?"

Consigliere's Lady - "What did I say?"

SC - "That he's got a pretty face."

Consigliere's Lady - "I never noticed his face."

SC- "I'll smash his face inside out. I'll make him into dog meat. Nobody's gonna think he's good-looking when I get through with him.

INT. WORTH STREET BASEMENT - DAY

Don Vercetti, wearing boxer trunks, steps off the scale.
Commissioner COL. EDDIE EAGAN, a white-haired, heavyset man
in his mid-forties, calls out the weight.

The basement of the New York Boxing Commission on Worth Street is a sparse room, crowded with REPORTERS, TRAINERS, GANGSTERBB MEMBERS and MANAGERS.

SC steps on the scale. He looks weak and woozy.

There's a commotion in SC's camp. Vercetti smiles.

INT. MADISON SQUARE GARDEN - NIGHT

It's the last round and SC is pouring it on a beaten and
virtually helpless Vercetti.

The CROWD of Gangsterbb members chants: "SC!!!!"
The kill is imminent -- and they love it.


SC moves in fast, and with a powerful barrage, smashes
Vercetti's nose -- plastering it against his left cheek.

The final bell rings. Vercetti, his legs all rubber, staggers back to his corner.

ANNOUNCER- "The winner, by unanimous decision, in ten rounds, SC!"

SC walks over to the opponents side of the ring, looks Vercetti square in the eye and says "Ya neva knocked me down Vercetti, ya neva knocked me down."

Walks back to his corner, turns to Geoff and Consigliere's lady and says "he ain't so pretty no more."

Speaking of firm. Ha ha ha....Let me know if you can see this. I haven't seen Vercetti post this one yet.

The rooms are $89 a night plus the daily parking fee I can't remember what the fee is but they will give us a in/out pass. I am such a idiot I should have used one of your suggestions.

I'm gonna post this instead of PMing you in case someone else has this problem.

I called the Hilton at the number you listed above and got the front desk. I explained that I had a room held and was calling to give my address, credit card, and get confirmation. I was transferred to someone else, and explained it again. I was transferred yet again, and was on hold for about 10 minutes.

I then finally got someone, and gave her my name. She said she couldn't help me, and that I needed to call Monday. She said to talk to "Eric" but didn't know a last name, and said that it may have been reserved thru sales????? She said to call the same number. I'll try again Monday, but was wondering if I need to give this Eric's last name or since Becky reserved the rooms, if I need to give her name. Please advise, as the didn't seem to have me down when I called.
