Nobody should feel obligated to work around someone else's schedule/desires. Ideally it'd be nice if we all breakfast and dinner together, though.

Isn't Shula's over at the Wyndham? Or is there one in this hotel also? DMC, what's the matter with you? I think your brains gone sour from all that comedy you've been playing with that FlameAngel. Give Mama Mig your name. There is no risk and no money to put up. You have up until 48 hours before check in to cancel the room. So why not just let her book it for you now? It's a no brainer. I'm up for Shula's regardless of where it is. As for DMC, *I* will give his name to Mig if he doesn't do it himself! :p
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

You may have gotten that impression from me. Touristy Things I've Done In Philly: Independence Hall: Interesting tour, well worth it. Liberty Bell: Stand on line for maybe an hour to walk past a bell with a crack in it and look at it for maybe two minutes. Betsey Ross House: Total waste, IMO. Art Museum; The "Rocky" Steps. The museum is very good, too. Museum of Science & Natural History (Franklin Institute): Pretty good, not great. Barnes Museum: Great, if you like French Impressionism (I don't). But you have to write away for tickets in advance (Find their website). Philadelphia Zoo: Good, if you like zoos (I do), but you need a car to get there. Very expensive cab ride. South Street: Where all the hippies meet. Funky clothing stores, head shops, sex toys, cafes, etc.

You may remember the song (TIS & SC will) South Street by The Orlons, a Philadelphia Girl Group circa 1963 or so.
Where do all the hippies meet? (South Street, South Street) Where the dancin is elite (South Street, South Street) Side by side we're loose and neat When we're stompin down the street Hurry down, baby she's the hippest street in town!(Oh baby)
Meet me, on South Street, oh yeah, hurry on down Come on now, meet me on South Street The hippest street in town Well you take West Street, East Street, North Avenue (Cause I know) South Street's the best street To have a ball with you
Do you hear that groovy beat? (South Street, South Street) Don't it make you move your feet? (South Street, South Street) Everybody gathers round Cause they dig that crazy sound Now hurry down, baby she's the hippest street in town
(Oh baby) Meet me on South Street, (come on) oh yeah, hurry on down Come on now, meet me on South Street, the hippist street in town (Well you take) West Street, East Street, North Avenue (Cause I know) South Street's the best street To have a ball with you

I do remember "South Street" well PLaw. As a matter of fact, when I saw you first mentioned it, the music trivia buff in me came out, and I was going nuts trying to think of the artist. I wouldn't have guessed it, but now that I know, it does ring a bell. :p The thing is that song was just before the "hippie" era, if I recall. I assume they were referring still to what? Hipster, beatnik?????? I had no idea that South Street was in Philly though. As far as the attractions go, I'm up for seeing where all the "hippies" meet and if we are in the area, I'd like to see the "Rocky" steps. If not, that's ok too. TIS

The "hip" that they sung about was those that were cool. They knew what was happenin'. The "hippies" that we knew from later in the 60's were different.
