TIS, here is what I feel ; Both you and Mignon are the only two outside of the east coast area who have given a serious commitment to attending a gangsterbb weekend. The rest of us who have shown a serious interest are from this area. Where we go on the east coast is not a big deal for most of us as most of us would only be traveling for a 3 or 4 day weekend. You and Mig however, in traveling such long distances, understandably and sensibly are looking to make your trips into more than a 4 day weekend. More of a vacation for you ladies. And that is why I feel that you and Mig should decide if you both would rather stay in New Jersey, right outside of Manhatten, or in Philadelphia and then travel to Manhatten. As I said, it doesn't matter to me. As long as we are all together, having a good time and in each others company, that's what matters to me mostly. I really think that you and Mig should make some sort of decision as to how and where you both would like to spend your vacations. You two need to make the call. Don Cardi

I agree with DC. It doesn't make any difference to me if we're in NYC, NJ, or Philly.
I will add, however, that the Wyndham in Philly is a nice hotel, fairly centrally located, and the price seems to be about as good as we're gonna get there.

Yes. Pretty much walking distance to everything except the waterfront area, and maybe South Street.

Kind of like the Greenwich Village of Philadelphia. Worth a few hours visit.

Since Becky hasn't got in touch with me about getting a group rate at any of the Hilton chains in Philly I contacted that WYNDHAM PHILADELPHIA FRANKLIN PLAZA, and I asked them a few questions, and here are their response: Good morning! Thank you for inquiring at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel in Philadelphia. The Staff and I would be delighted with the opportunity to host your group in August 2006. Here are answers to your posed questions: 1. We have two full bar service lounges, a trendy lounge located in our Atrium Lobby and a more private cigar-type lounge located in our Shula's Steakhouse. (Both serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic bevarages plus food from select menu) 2. The Wyndham Philadelphia's cancel policy is 24-Hours. 3. Our daily parking fee is as follows (with come and go privilege): $25.00 - Hotel Guest Self-Park $32.00 - Hotel Guest Valet-Park Ten or more rooms constitutes a group. Group rates vary by availability and room night volume. Please contact group sales to negotiate a rate when your dates have been established. 4. The Wyndham Philadelphia offers wireless, wired and high-capacity internet. The rate for internet access is $9.95 per day. We also have a complimentary 24-Hour Cyber Center. 5. Currently, we do not have a designated shuttle service to area sites but there are several means of transportation accessible directly right outside of our hotel. (i.e. Philadelphia Trolley Works stops at our side entrance) We also have a full-service concierges staff where you can purchase tickets to actual sites and make reservations, etc. Please contact the hotel directly should you have additional questions. The Wyndham looks nice by the pictures, and it's a little more affordable then some of the others. Anyone ever stay there? TIS

I believe that we agreed on the Weekend of August 18th. Mama Mig, you gotta stay on top of these things! DMC, it's tradition that when one turns the legal age to finally drink, he or she MUST buy the first round. If the person who has turned the legal age does NOT buy the first round, then for the rest of their drinking lives they will ALWAYS have a BAD hangover the next day. So you better buy that first round! As for Don malta buying a round of drinks. Let me see. The last time we were at the hotel, he kept saying that the next round was on him. It was on him alright, the liquor was on him, in him and all over him. :p No, actually Don Malta is a very generous guy and always buys a couple of rounds whenever we are together. Two for him and one for me. SB and Doc Hagen are out of control. They drank so much the last time that they wanted to break into the pool at 1:00 in the morning! But it's Mama Mig that you have to watch out for in the lounge. Everytime I looked over at her she had a drink in her hand and would be sucking it through a straw! Talk about a lush! Only SC and I are in control and limit ourselves to one or two drinks. DMC, you are in BIIIIIIGGGGGGG trouble! Don Cardi
