Can you name a Republican who has ever gone through that? ...
I am a Republican. I am also a single mother, and have been for the past six years. I am also an ordinary working person who has to work 8+ hours a day. I make an honest living and have been doing so for the past 25 or so years.

Each year on Election Day, I drop my daughter off at school and then stop at the local voting poll and cast my vote for democracy. Takes about 5 minutes. Then...I go to work.

ps - I learned many years ago, even before becoming a mother...to do my voting early in the morning...that way even in a Presidential year, you really do get in & out and leave the long lines for people who wait until the evening (after grabbing that quick sandwich, I suppose).

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.
