From: BBC June 9, 2025 Activists say Israeli troops have boarded aid ship Activists say Israeli troops have boarded a yacht trying to bring humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. "Connection has been lost" on the "Madleen" the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) campaign group said on the Telegram app. It posted a photo showing people in life jackets sitting with their hands up. The report could not be independently verified. No Israel Defence Force IDF soldiers can be seen in the image. Climate activist Greta Thunberg is among those aboard the vessel, which is believed to be off the Egyptian coast. Israel's foreign ministry said earlier that the country's navy had told the yacht to change course "due to its approach toward a restricted area". Israel says a blockade is necessary to prevent weapons from reaching Hamas militants in Gaza. The FFC said the vessel, which left Sicily on Friday, was carrying humanitarian aid and had been "prepared for the possibility of an Israeli attack". Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz had warned that the yacht should turn back and that Israel would act against any attempt to breach the blockade. He wrote in a post on X on Sunday: "I have instructed the Israel Defense Forces [IDF] to act to prevent the "Madleen" hate flotilla from reaching the shores of Gaza and to take whatever measures are necessary to that end." Katz says the purpose of Israel's blockade, which has been in place since 2007 is to "prevent the transfer of weapons to Hamas" and is essential to Israel's security as it seeks to destroy Hamas. 18 years... How is that going?

The FFC has argued that the sea blockade is illegal, characterising Katz's statement as an example of Israel threatening the unlawful use of force against civilians and "attempting to justify that violence with smears".
"We will not be intimidated. The world is watching," FFC press officer Hay Sha Wiya said.
"The Madleen is a civilian vessel, unarmed and sailing in international waters, carrying humanitarian aid and human rights defenders from across the globe... Israel has no right to obstruct our effort to reach Gaza."
The Madleen was carrying a symbolic quantity of aid, including rice and baby formula, the group said.
Citizens of Brazil, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Turkey are onboard.

Israel: Activist ship carrying Greta Thunberg changes course, heads for Israeli coast Tel Aviv- Israel's Foreign Ministry says the Freedom Flotilla Coalition activist ship Madleen, which was headed to Gaza, has diverted its course to the coast of Israel. All aboard are safe, the ministry said, and the activists will return to their countries of origin once they reach land, according to Israel. 10 minutes ago Freedom Flotilla Coalition said Israeli military forces “boarded” the ship overnight Sunday into Monday. Contact with the Madleen has been lost, the organization added in a Telegram message.
The Israeli navy had ordered the ship, which is heading for Gaza, to change course earlier in the night.
The activist ship is carrying twelve passengers, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and Dutch captain Mark van Rennes. The ship was carrying aid supplies for Gaza.
Earlier in the night, a group of boats approached the activist ship, but they appeared to leave after a while. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had ordered his military to prevent the Madleen from actually sailing to Gaza.
The navy demanded a change of course from the activist ship as it approached a restricted area, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said.
"The king is dead, long live the king!"

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 A city of booby traps, tunnels; After recovering the bodies of slain hostages Gadi Haggai and Judih Weinstein in Khan Younis on Wednesday night, Israeli forces continued to push deeper into the city in the southern Gaza Strip, intensifying operations aimed at reaching its center. The Kfir Brigade has been operating in southern Khan Younis for the past three weeks, working in close coordination with the Israeli Air Force IAF combat engineers from the elite Yahalom unit, and other forces. Their mission: to reach the city’s center and establish operational control. Now entering its 20th month, the war has left Khan Younis in ruins — a shattered landscape almost unrecognizable from what it once was; The Israel Defense Forces IDF last operated deep in Khan Younis with ground troops in April 2024. The extended deployments in Gaza are not without strain. Troops typically serve two weeks inside Gaza, followed by four days out — a rotation that offers brief relief but continues to weigh heavily on soldiers and their families. Arrogant and irresponsible IDF soldiers left so many markers on social media that Hamas invaders on October 7 had a complete breakdown of nearly every unit, sub-unit, and building within the Nahal Oz IDF base when they overwhelmed it, killed 53 soldiers, and took 10 hostage on October 7, 2023. In most standing army units, including the Shimshon Battalion, phones are not allowed inside the Strip — Better than Never — limiting communication to a single weekly call, typically on Fridays before Shabbat. To maintain a semblance of connection, certain commanders run shared WhatsApp groups with families, offering sparse but critical updates — a digital lifeline for those waiting anxiously for their loved ones at home.

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 Day 612 The duration of the IDF’s presence in Gaza remains uncertain.
Last Sunday, the military announced plans to establish control over 75% of the territory within two months — a move that signals the intention to maintain a long-term presence aimed at dismantling Hamas’s capabilities.
Commander of the Kfir Brigade’s Shimshon Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Yud — identified only by his first Hebrew initial due to security concerns — reaffirmed the war’s primary goals: the return of the hostages and the dismantling of Hamas.
These objectives, he said, are what justify the IDF’s continued presence in Gaza. “I know that there are still hostages, I know well what [Hamas] did on October 7 — therefore we don’t know how much longer we’ll stay [in Gaza],”
Despite the intensity of the fighting, Yud said morale among his troops remains high.
“We can see the kibbutzim across the border — we know well why we’re here,” he said, referring to nearby communities like Nir Yitzhak and Sufa, where some residents have already returned after being evacuated in the wake of Hamas’s October 7 attack.

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 Israel confirms it took control of Gaza-bound boat, activists to be sent home; Israeli troops detain Gaza-bound activists, tow boat to Ashdod after bid to bust blockade; Foreign Ministry says ‘selfie yacht’ was a provocation, passengers to be sent home Israel publishes video showing detained activists from Madleen ‘safe and unharmed’ Israel’s Foreign Ministry publishes a video showing detained activists from a boat bound for Gaza being escorted by the Israeli Navy to the Ashdod Port. the ministry says on X; 1. “All the passengers of the ‘selfie yacht’ are safe and unharmed. 2. They were provided with sandwiches and water. 3. The show is over,” The Foreign Ministry posts a picture of Greta Thunberg — Small potatoes Get a real job! — in a signature frog hat, smiling as she is offered a sandwich from a soldier. Katz praises the soldiers for their swift takeover of the ship. Footage from before soldiers boarded shows that the activists planned to make a show of not putting up resistance. It posted a photo showing people in life jackets sitting with their hands up. The report could not be independently verified. No Israel Defence Force IDF soldiers can be seen in the image.

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 The ministry says Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and the others aboard Madleen “attempted to stage a media provocation whose sole purpose was to gain publicity.” Publicity stunt The boat was carrying “less than a single truckload of aid,” it says, noting that “more than 1,200 aid trucks have entered Gaza from Israel within the past two weeks, and in addition, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation GHF has distributed close to 11 million meals directly to civilians in Gaza.” Earlier, the ministry said that the boat, Madleen, was being towed to Israeli shores, that the activists would be deported, and the “ tiny amount of aid” it was carrying would be sent to Gaza. “There are ways to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip — they do not involve Instagram selfies. the ministry adds; The tiny amount of aid that was on the yacht and not consumed by the ‘celebrities’ will be transferred to Gaza through real humanitarian channels,”

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 Katz says detained activists to be forced to watch video of Hamas atrocities Defense Minister Israel Katz has ordered the military to screen a video showing atrocities committed on October 7, 2023, to detained activists who had attempted to challenge Israel’s blockade on Gaza, his office says in a statement. The harrowing 43-minute video produced by the Israel Defense Forces spokesperson’s office shows shows uncensored, difficult-to-watch footage of people being massacred and bodies mutilated during the onslaught, much of it taken from terrorists’ bodycams. Katz says in the statement, referring to Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, the most famous of the 12 activists aboard the boat “It’s appropriate that Greta the antisemite and her Hamas-supporting friends should see exactly 1. who is the terror group Hamas that they support and act on behalf of, 2. what atrocious acts they carried out on women, the elderly and kids, 3. and who Israel is fighting for its defense against,” He orders that the video be screened for the group once they arrive at Ashdod, where there boat is being towed to after soldiers took control of the ship as it neared the Gaza coast overnight. Katz praises the soldiers for their swift takeover of the ship Israel has shown the atrocities video, titled Bearing Witness, to journalists and public figures in limited screenings around the world as part of its efforts to rally support for its war on Hamas, though its use of the footage has occasionally garnered controversy.

BBC June 9, 2025 'We've been intercepted' Greta Thunberg Drama Queen Earlier we reported that the Freedom Flotilla Coalition has been posting video messages from each activist onboard the Madleen. Those on board the Madleen had pre-recorded videos in the event they did not make it to Gaza. All of the videos follow a similar script. In hers, Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, external said the team had been "intercepted and kidnapped in international waters" by "forces that support Israel". "I urge all my friends, family and comrades to put pressure on the Swedish government to release me and the others as soon as possible," The Israel foreign ministry has in their own post on X said the activists were "unharmed" and that they were "safely" making their way to Israel. 1. The Palestinian foreign ministry has called for "protection of the activists' safety," 2. and a U.N. official has asked for more ships to "sail together" to bring aid to Gaza 3. terrorists Hamas says the interception of the Madleen is a "flagrant violation of international law." Thunberg and friends, PA, U.N., Hamas Read Israel's post on X! Read Israel's post on X! In a statement, the Palestinian armed group demands the activists on board are released, and that it holds Israel "fully responsible for their safety." Never mind the hostages It then goes on to call on the United Nations and other international organisations; "to condemn this crime and take urgent action and break the siege on our people".

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 Hillel Fuld; Australian visa cancelled Fuld, a long-time influencer in Israel’s high-tech scene, began advocating for Israel full-time after Hamas launched its war against Israel on October 7, 2023. Pro-Israel activist and influencer Hillel Fuld has been barred from entering Australia because his presence would constitute a risk to “the health, safety or good order” of the country, according to Australia’s Department of Home Affairs. Fuld, a citizen of both Israel and the United States, was due to speak at events for Magen David Adom in Sydney and Melbourne to raise money for the medical organization’s new facility in Lehavim in southern Israel. His visit was canceled due to fears he would use the platform to incite hatred “against particular segments of the community, namely the Islamic population,” according to the letter sent to him Friday by the Department of Home Affairs. In the letter canceling his visa, the Home Affairs Ministry cited several of Fuld’s posts that they said “denied documented atrocities and Islamophobia rhetoric, which has been received by members of the Australian community as inflammatory and concerning.” “Based on this information, I consider there is sufficient reason to conclude that the visa holder’s use of various online platforms to promote his controversial views and ideologies may lead to fostering division in the community,” the letter said. In one example cited, the Home Affairs Ministry said Fuld had contradicted “reports made by many reliable news sources that at least 112 Palestinians had been killed and more than 750 wounded after Israeli troops opened fire” on people waiting for aid near Gaza City on March 1, 2024. Fuld had called the reports “propaganda” and “fabricated” in a lengthy post on Instagram, writing: “There was no massacre of Palestinians in Gaza today.” The decision to cancel his visa has sparked outrage from Jewish communities in Australia and worldwide.

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 Fuld said the decision is drawing diplomatic blowback, with United States Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, former Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan, and others taking up the case. In a letter to Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke, Huckabee said Fuld “poses no threat to the people of Australia by his actions or words.” Meanwhile, opposition leaders in Australia called on Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke to explain the cancellation. Shadow home affairs minister Andrew Hastie said in a statement Sunday; If there is a new political precedent in the standard for issuing entry visas to Australia, the Australian people should be informed as soon as possible,” It’s not the first time a visa has been denied to an Israeli on political grounds, however. Last November, former justice minister Ayelet Shaked was barred from entering Australia for similar reasons when she was slated to address a conference organized by the Australia / Israel and Jewish Affairs Council. U.S. conservative political commentator Candace Owens was also banned from entering the country last year. Friends of Magen David Adom attacked the ruling on Fuld’s visa. “We absolutely reject this,” it said in a statement. Hillel has spoken to large audiences across North America, Europe and Asia with no incident.” “The decision “is difficult to reconcile with the actual purpose of his visit, which is to speak about entrepreneurship and help raise money for emergency medical services in Israel that treat everyone, regardless of faith or background,” Zionist Federation of Australia President Jeremy Leibler added. He said his organization was in direct contact with the government regarding the decision. Fuld is now expected to address the fundraiser event by video conferencing instead of in person, Leibler noted.

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 Fuld told The Times of Israel that he had received his travel visa for the trip months ago without any problems. “But on Thursday, someone brought to my attention a post on X calling for people to contact the immigration office to get me blocked from entering the country. Sure enough, the next morning, I got an email from them telling me I wouldn’t be allowed to come.” The coordinated social media campaign by pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel activists called Fuld “a well-known merchant of Zionist hate speech,” saying he has; 1. “a well-documented history of spreading hate speech, 2. Islamophobia, and dangerous misinformation.” It included detailed information on how to file a complaint with authorities. Attack on the Jewish community The decision is a slap in the face for Australia’s 120,000-strong Jewish community, which has been among the hardest hit by antisemitism in the world since October 7, 2023. The country experienced more than 2,000 anti-Jewish incidents between October 2023 and September 2024, more than quadruple the number from the year before Hamas’s October 7, 2023, assault that sparked the Gaza war, according to the Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ) including; 1. Jews there have experienced synagogues, schools, and homes firebombed, 2. two nurses threatening to kill Jewish patients in their hospital, 3. and the discovery of a trailer filled with explosives said to be intended for a mass-casualty event at a Sydney synagogue. 4. racist and threatening slogans spray painted Residents have been overwhelmingly frustrated by the failure of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his government to rein in skyrocketing antisemitism, but were mildly hopeful that, after his Labor Party’s reelection last month, he would do more to protect the Jewish community in his second term. While the party now understands that antisemitism is a significant domestic issue, and has begun to make stronger efforts to fight it, Fuld’s snub is a sign that things are unlikely to improve shortly.

Israel spent its 77 year life trying not to be careless -- but under Benjamin Netanyahu... October 7 and now if true this From: Al Jazeera June 8, 2025 Iran says Israeli ‘treasure trove’ of secret documents to be unveiled soon From: The Associated Press June 10, 2025 IAEA chief Rafael Mariano says information stolen by Iran refers to Israeli nuclear research site. In first outside confirmation of Tehran’s claims to have obtained vast trove of Israeli intelligence, IAEA Director General Grossi says documents ‘seem to refer’ to Soreq nuclear research facility. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency said Monday that the information Iran claimed it seized regarding Israel’s nuclear program “seems to refer” to the country’s Soreq Nuclear Research Center, the first acknowledgment outside of Tehran of the theft. The Prime Minister’s Office had no immediate response to the remarks by Grossi, who spoke during a news conference in Vienna. The alleged theft comes at a time of renewed tensions over Iran’s nuclear program, which enriches uranium a short, technical step away from weapons-grade levels and looks poised to reject a US proposal over a possible deal on its atomic program. “We have seen some reports in the press. We haven’t had any official communication about this,” Grossi told reporters. “In any case, this seems to refer to Soreq, which is a research facility which we inspect by the way. We don’t inspect other strategic parts of the program, but this part of the program we do inspect.” He did not elaborate on where he received his information, though the IAEA maintains a confidential reporting system for nations to report security incidents involving their nuclear programs. Soreq, located 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Tel Aviv, is a national laboratory for nuclear science established in Israel in 1958 engaged in nuclear science, radiation safety and applied physics.

The International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA has so-called item-specific safeguards agreements with Israel, Pakistan and India, all countries that are not party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
Under Israel’s agreement, the IAEA monitors Soreq but has no access to Israel’s nuclear facility at Dimona, believed to provide the fuel for the country’s undeclared nuclear weapons program.
Over the weekend, Iranian state television and later the country’s intelligence minister claimed without offering evidence that Tehran seized an “important treasury” of information regarding Israel’s nuclear program.
Israel, whose undeclared atomic weapons program makes it the only country in the Mideast with nuclear bombs, has not acknowledged any such Iranian operation targeting it.
According to Tasnim, a semi-official Iranian media outlet closely affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) the intelligence was gathered and transferred by Roy Mizrahi and Almog Atias, two Israelis arrested by Israeli police in May on suspicion of collecting intelligence on behalf of Iran.
Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib claimed thousands of pages of documents had been obtained and would be made public soon. Among them were documents related to the US, Europe and other countries, which, he claimed, had been obtained through “infiltration” and “access to the sources.”
He did not elaborate on the methods used. However, Khatib, a Shiite cleric, was sanctioned by the US Treasury in 2022 over directing “cyber espionage and ransomware attacks in support of Iran’s political goals.”

One ally found! 99 to go...
From: Haaretz June 9, 2025 Unequivocal support for Israel': Argentina's Javier Milei will be first non-Jew to win 'Jewish Nobel'
President Javier Milei of Argentina will become the first non-Jew to receive the Genesis Prize — which likes to call itself the "Jewish Nobel" — at a special ceremony at the Knesset on Wednesday.
Milei is also the first head of state to be awarded the prize. Contrary to previous recipients, the right-wing libertarian, who has been referred to as Donald Trump's "favorite president," is far from a consensus figure.
Known for his unruly hair and foul mouth, Milei has declared war against what he describes as the "mental virus of woke ideology," attacking "radical feminism" and "gender ideology" since taking office in December 2023.
In announcing this year's decision, the Genesis Prize Foundation said that Milei was chosen: 1. "for his unequivocal support of Israel, including reversing decades of anti-Israel votes by Argentina at the United Nations, 2. designating Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations, 3. and reopening investigations into the AMIA and Israel Embassy bombings in the 1990s."

Israel funding terrorists: Never end well Blows Up in Israel's Face From: The Jerusalem Post June 9, 2025 Smotrich 'completely opposed' to Israel arming Hamas opponents in Gaza: "I was not aware of this. I am completely opposed to arming an enemy, no matter which faction they belong to,” Smotrich said at a faction meeting. Israel's Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich denied knowledge of weapons transfers to militias in Gaza on Monday, stating, "I was not aware of this. he said at a faction meeting of his Religious Zionist Party, Israeli media reported: I am completely opposed to arming an enemy, no matter which faction they belong to,” “I think the idea that we let our enemies fight our enemies has not proven itself anywhere," he continued. "Beyond that, I don’t want to expand, because unlike Liberman and others, I have responsibility for Israel’s security, and there are matters that are naturally discussed behind closed doors so as not to harm the security of our existential interests.” Smotrich later clarified: 1. “It’s okay to create interests for various actors and power centers. 2. Ultimately, our challenge is to destroy Hamas and collapse it. 3. Weapons are a red line.”

The Times of Israel June 9, 2025 Katz says detained activists to be forced to watch video of Hamas atrocities From: The Times of Israel June 10, 2025 Katz: Thunberg and the other detained flotilla activists refused to watch film of Hamas atrocities on October 7 Defense Minister Israel Katz says the detained activists from the boat that intended to break Israel’s blockade on the Gaza Strip refused to view a video showing atrocities committed by the Hamas terror group on October 7, 2023. “Greta [Thunberg] and her flotilla companions were taken into a room upon their arrival for a screening of the horror film of the October 7 massacre, and when they saw what it was about, they refused to continue watching,” Katz says in statement. “The antisemitic flotilla members are turning a blind eye to the truth and have proven once again that they prefer the murderers to the murdered and continue to ignore the atrocities committed by Hamas against Jewish and Israeli women, adults, and children,” he adds. Exactly! The detained activists are set to be deported, and the 'small' amount of aid they brought will be sent into Gaza, Israeli officials have said. Tiny 'aid' was symbolic Publicity stunt

With Trump in charge, the world must prepare for long warsThe Jerusalem Post by David M. Weinberg 07 June 2025 Extracts: - With Trump in charge, the world must prepare for long wars
Trump thinks that the weighty economic power of America and the force of his huge personality will bend adversaries to his will Why has the US under President Donald Trump failed to broker, 1. an end to the Russia-Ukraine war 2. an end to the Israel-Hamas War and the hostage crisis 3. an end to Houthi assaults on Israel 4. an end to the Iranian nuclear bomb program? Because Trump and his team have the wrong paradigm in mind. US approach everything with a pragmatist, transactional perspective. US see everything through dispassionate business eyeglasses. And they think that America’s enemies do the same Worse still, Trump thinks that the weighty economic power of America and the force of his huge personality will bend adversaries to his will. But — - what if America’s challengers are motivated by deeper, darker purposes?
- What if Russia, Iran, Hamas and the Houthis (and even the Chinese) are driven by ideological ambitions that go far beyond the calculations of economic and other cold-neutral self-interest?
- What if these actors are prepared for decades of war against the West and specifically against Israel, no matter what “great deals” Trump offers them?
The latest example of such American miscalculation is the reported proposal by the Trump administration to shoehorn Iran’s program for enrichment of uranium to atomic-bomb levels into some wacky offshore consortium of Middle East countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Turkey, alongside the US This would somehow dilute or restrict Iran’s near-bomb-ready nuclear colossus

With Trump in charge, the world must prepare for long warsThe Jerusalem Post by David M. Weinberg 07 June 2025 Extracts: - Khamenei has defiantly rejected US idea, for ideological reasons
Iranian dictator Ayatollah Khamenei declared, 1. “National independence means that the Iranian nation stands on its own feet; 2. it means not waiting for a green or red light from others,” Iran’s resolve to forge its own path without foreign interference “defines its sovereignty,” Khamenei bellowed, “We can” is a revolutionary principle taught by Imam Khomeini" Khomeini proceeded to call US proposals "rude, insolent, arrogant, destructive, and “deviating from the motivations and sacrifices rooted in our people’s faith.” Khamenei ranted on about Zionist “crimes,” with the usual formulas about Israel as a cancer in the Middle East that must and will be eliminated by Iran, insisting that his country is developing all means to do so 1. “By definite divine decree, the Zionist regime is collapsing 2. God willing, the day [of its demise] is not far off” In short, no pragmatic deal offered by the US to Iran nor any further Western sanctions against it, are going to knock the Islamic Republic off its radical path, even if it bends a bit to mollify Trump for a bit Ingrained ideological commitment for the long-term, trumps short-term accommodations to Trump The algorithm by which America and Israel’s adversaries operate is attrition; long wars of attrition, informed by an ethos of sacrifice and eschatological visions of zealous, crushing victory.

With Trump in charge, the world must prepare for long warsThe Jerusalem Post by David M. Weinberg 07 June 2025 Extracts: - Delusions of Palestinian statehood — specifically now
After October 7 all Israeli leaders and most of the Israeli public recognize this: the set of rules by which the worst actors in the Middle East operate are ideological, attritional, genocidal not accommodational or transactional For example, Israelis understand that beyond whatever temporary accords might unfortunately be necessary to obtain the release of a few more Israeli hostages held criminally and viciously by Hamas, there are no long-term accommodations with the terrorist group - It must be rooted out from Gaza, Judea and Samaria — and this means a decade (or more) of bloody warfare at varying degrees of intensity
- It means “managing the conflict” through the determined use of force in a proactive, preemptive, and persistent manner
- It means no establishment of any runaway, radical, revolutionary Palestinian state
This is also why it is so nonsensical of France, Saudi Arabia and others to resuscitate delusions of Palestinian statehood, specifically now This is a recipe for devastating disappointment and escalated conflict And of course, for the isolation of Israel — which may be the point of the whole French-Saudi exercise

With Trump in charge, the world must prepare for long warsThe Jerusalem Post by David M. Weinberg 07 June 2025 Extracts: And if there are any accommodations and reconciliations in the broader region to be had, they run through the Abraham Accords prism, which purposefully and smartly sidelined the Palestinian issue Similarly, Israelis understand that beyond whatever interim accords might be possible with the new Al-Jolani regime in Syria and the Aoun government in Lebanon, the IDF itself must and will continue to regularly interdict threats to Israel over the borders with these countries Jerusalem will not sit back for a decade or two, merely gathering intelligence on emerging threats until the threat reaches monstrous proportions (as Israel unfortunately did versus Hezbollah) The same goes for Judea and Samaria Nobody is under the illusion that any Palestinian “authority” can or will counteract the build-up of Iranian backed Islamic terrorist armies in these areas — which directly threaten Jerusalem and central Israel Only the IDF can and will; Day 613 Mr. Weinberg !You cannot be serious!thus, the full-scale Israeli military operations in places like Jenin, Tulkarm and Nablus being carried out to resolutely rout out such threats This is likely to be a permanent feature of Israeli policy President Emmanuel Macron should take note The same goes for Iran The International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA is warning that Tehran has already enriched enough uranium at near-bomb-ready levels for 6-8 nuclear bombs and that its advanced centrifuges could do so many times over within three months’ time Thus Israelis know that complete dismantling or military destruction of this apparatus (as well as Iran’s ballistic missile empire) is necessary and soon

With Trump in charge, the world must prepare for long warsThe Jerusalem Post by David M. Weinberg 07 June 2025 Extracts: - Half or cosmetic measures — insufficient
Half or cosmetic measures based on “trust” that purport to put the Iranian nuclear juggernaut to bed are insufficient Especially if they ignore the missile threat and Iran’s other hegemonic incursions across the region Any such boondoggle of an American accord with Iran will force Israel to act against the belligerent Islamic Republic on its own Whose fault Israel forced into never-ending negotiations with terrorists The Enemy wars of attrition against Israel, have an additional, central purpose: 1. the drawn-out and purposefully never-ending negotiations for hostage release; 2. the ripping to shreds of Israeli society from within — 3. the exacerbation of political and religious-social divisions; 4. the exhaustion of Israeli citizens and fighters; 5. the sapping of a will to fight on; Alas, this enemy strategy is highly effective Israel is indeed increasingly drained and divided — not to mention highly taxed and exasperated with the country’s leadership — although not crushingly so. Day 613 No kidding!

With Trump in charge, the world must prepare for long warsThe Jerusalem Post by David M. Weinberg 07 June 2025 Extracts: - The Eagles: Hell Freezes Over
I am certain, as detailed above, that most Israelis — with a heavy heart — understand, the long-term ideological and civilizational nature of the battles ahead and are girding themselves for them This, irrespective of what political changes may be wrought by an Israeli election campaign over the next year and regardless of what mistakes of accommodation / surrender might be made, in the coming weeks by Western leaders Day 613 The polarizing Netanyahu "has led Israel to the terrible place they are now in” -- Global pariah on the world stage Everyone -- Gazans in particular between a rock and a hard place -- paying the horrendous price Israelis have every reason to believe that the State of Israel can *successfully reset the regional strategic architecture in positive directions — 1. as it did once through the Abraham Accords 2. as it has in going a long way toward *crushing Hamas and Hezbollah 3. as it has in stripping Iran of its air defenses, and more *which also sped forward the collapse of the Russian and Iranian-backed Assad regime in Syria *If Israel still exists.... The question is this: - How does one advance a deeper, more mature, more resilient and more patient appreciation of threats and responsibilities in the Middle East among Western leaders?
- How does one assist them in growing a spine and backing Israel along its long path toward security and prosperity?
The writer David M. Weinberg is managing senior fellow at the Jerusalem-based Misgav Institute for National Security & Zionist Strategy The views expressed here are his own.

Ehud Olmert — Traitor in the family selling his soul / betraying Israel in dire straits, fighting multi-fronted terror war — for 30 pieces of silver Agence France-Presse June 10, 2025 Trump must tell Netanyahu 'enough is enough': ex-Israeli PM and A longtime political rival of Netanyahu U.S. President Donald Trump should tell Israel's leader Benjamin Netanyahu "enough is enough", a former Israeli prime minister told AFP denouncing the continuation of the war in Gaza as a "crime" and insisting a two-state solution is the only way to end the conflict. Ehud Olmert, prime minister between 2006-2009 said in an interview in Paris that the United States has more influence on the Israeli government "than all the other powers put together" and that Trump can "make a difference". He said Netanyahu "failed completely" as a leader by not preventing the October 7, 2023 attack by Palestinian militant group Hamas that sparked the war. He said while the international community accepted Israel's right to self-defence after October 7, this changed when Netanyahu spurned chances to end the war in March and instead ramped up operations. Netanyahu "has his personal interests which are prioritised over what may be the national interests," Olmert charged. Analysts say Netanyahu fears that if he halts the war, hardline members of his coalition will walk out, collapsing the government and forcing elections he could lose. "If there is a war which is not going to save hostages, which cannot really eradicate more of what they did already against Hamas and if, as a result of this, soldiers are getting killed, hostages maybe get killed and innocent Palestinians are killed, then to my mind this is a crime," said Olmert. "And this is something that should be condemned and not accepted," he said. Trump should summon Netanyahu to the White House Oval Office and facing cameras, tell the Israeli leader: "'Bibi: enough is enough'", Olmert said, using the premier's nickname. Olmert said "This is it. I hope he (Trump) will do it. There is nothing that cannot happen with Trump. I don't know if this will happen. We have to hope and we have to encourage him," Despite occasional expressions of concern about the situation in Gaza, the U.S. remains Israel's key ally using its veto at the U.N. Security Council and approving billions of dollars in arms sales.

Agence France-Presse June 10, 2025 — 'Doable and valid' — Along with former Palestinian foreign minister Nasser Al-Qidwa, Olmert is promoting a plan to end decades of conflict between Israel and the Palestinians to create a Palestinian state alongside a secure Israel. Both sides would swap 4.4 percent of each other's land to the other, according to the plan, with Israel receiving some West Bank territory occupied by Israeli settlers and a future Palestinian state territory that is currently part of Israel. Ahead of a meeting this month in New York co-hosted by France and Saudi Arabia on steps towards recognising a Palestinian state, Olmert said that such a plan is "practical, is doable, is relevant, is valid and is real." Olmert spent over a year in prison from 2016-2017 after being convicted in corruption scandals that ended his political career and efforts to forge peace. A longtime political rival of Netanyahu even though they both emerged from the same Likud right-wing party, he also faces an uphill struggle to convince Israeli society where support for a Palestinian state, let alone land swaps, is at a low ebb after October 7. "It requires a leadership on both sides," said Olmert. "We are trying to raise international awareness and the awareness of our own societies that this is not something lost but offers a future of hope." Ehud Olmert and Al-Qidwa former has-beens and his dog now experts

Agence France-Presse June 10, 2025 — 'Get rid of both' — Al-Qidwa, who is due to promote the plan alongside Olmert at a conference organised by the Jean-Jaures Foundation think tank in Paris on Tuesday, told AFP the blueprint was the "only game in town and the only doable solution". But he said societies in Israel and the Palestinian territories still had to be convinced, partly due to the continuation of the war. "The moment the war comes to an end we will see a different kind of thinking. We have to go forward with acceptance of the co-existence of the two sides." But he added there could be no hope of "serious progress with the current Israeli government and current Palestinian leadership" under the ageing president Mahmud Abbas, in office now for two decades. "You have to get rid of both. And that is going to happen," he said, labelling the Palestinian leadership as "corrupt and inept". Hamas's unprecedented attack on Israel resulted in the deaths of 1,219 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on official figures. Militants abducted 251 hostages, 54 of whom remain in Gaza, including 32 the Israeli military says are dead. Israel's retaliatory offensive has killed 54,880 people, mostly civilians, according to the Gaza health ministry, figures the United Nations deems reliable. anti-Israel U.N, of course take terrorists word as long as against Israel
