British government accuses Israel of deliberately making Palestinian state impossible
Author s : BNR Web Editors and ANP
The British government has described the latest Israeli plans to establish Jewish colonies in the occupied West Bank as "a deliberate attempt to make a Palestinian state impossible".

The Israeli government has approved 22 more settlements in the territory occupied in 1967. The United Kingdom has condemned the settlements, which Middle East Minister Hamish Falconer said "deliberately create an obstacle to the creation of a Palestinian state."

They also violate international law, which states that an occupying power may not annex occupied territory or take it for its own people. Israel has been annexing or annexing occupied territories since 1967. The international community, especially the United Nations, has said for decades that it seeks a Palestinian state alongside Israel. This is supposed to bring peace. Israel has also annexed part of Syria.
