He did. He also maintained strong connections with gang-affiliated individuals, most notably James 'Jimmy Henchman' Rosemond, the legendary Brooklyn crime boss currently serving a life sentence for murder and drug trafficking, and Eric 'Von Zip' Martin, the Harlem drug lord who played a significant role in introducing Puffy to Wendell 'Big Wynn' Prince and Duane 'Keefe D' Davis, the top shot-callers for the Burris clique of the South Side Compton Crips. This gang, as many are already aware of, provided security for Puffy whenever he needed protection on the West Coast during the early days and was also responsible for the murder of Tupac, with key assistance from Von Zip, who is alleged to have supplied the murder weapon. Another individual who is often forgotten is well known to members of this forum, and that is Gambino powerhouse Andrew Campos, Puff's old friend from Mount Vernon.

Thanks. No idea if she will testify the coming weeks.

Sean "Diddy" Combs has been accused of raping a woman as "payback" for suggesting he was involved in the murder of Tupac Shakur.
In a lawsuit filed in California, Ashley Parham also claims the musician threatened to slash her face with a knife in retaliation for her comments.

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial is adjourned until tomorrow. Here’s a recap of what happened
From CNN’s Maureen Chowdhury and Chris Boyette
The jury in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering and sex-trafficking trial has been dismissed for the day after hearing testimony from three witnesses.

If you’re just tuning in, here’s a recap of their testimony:

Dawn Richard, a former member of the musical group Danity Kane:

Richard said that after she witnessed Combs’ violent behavior, she told Ventura she should leave. Richard said she did not intervene out of fear for her own safety.
Richard also testified she didn’t immediately talk about the alleged abuse that she witnessed because Combs and Harve Pierre, the former president of Bad Boy Records, told her not to. When asked what made her speak out, Richard pointed to Ventura.
Richard testified she “often” saw Combs taking drugs, including weed, ketamine, and cocaine. She didn’t see him take opiates, she testified.
Richard testified she heard Combs discuss Ventura’s career with her. During those conversations, Combs would sometimes turn violent toward Ventura, but he’d usually say Ventura’s career would progress on his timeline, Richard testified.
Richard testified she saw Cassie Ventura at different times with injuries on her face, arms and legs after Combs was violent toward his former girlfriend. Ventura attempted to cover up the injuries with clothing, makeup and sunglasses, Richard said.

Morgan testified that she was best friends with Ventura for 17 years, but they currently don’t speak because in 2018, “(Ventura’s) boyfriend assaulted me,” later specifying that the boyfriend was Combs.
Morgan testified she saw Combs get physically violent with Ventura on two occasions and that he assaulted her. She said Combs sent her money and she signed an NDA. Morgan testified Combs was not intoxicated or high during these times.
Morgan testified that Ventura was very confident when they first met, but over the course of their friendship from the early 2000s to 2018, “she lost her confidence.” Morgan heard Combs criticize Ventura’s appearance, how she behaved, and who she talked to, Morgan testified.
Morgan testified she encouraged Ventura to speak with police the day of the 2016 hotel incident. She said that she never called law enforcement when Combs was violent because Ventura didn’t want her to.
Morgan said Ventura told her she couldn’t leave Combs because “he controlled everything.” Later, Morgan would testify that Combs controlled Ventura’s “job, her car, her apartment. He controlled everything. She would’ve lost all of her livelihood.”

James said he was with Combs every day he was working and traveled around the world with him.
James testified Combs’ security staffers often told him to “stay in my lane,” especially if he was asking too many questions.
James said he recalled a conversation he had with Ventura where she said to him, “Man, this lifestyle is crazy.” He said he agreed and suggested she leave, he testified. “I can’t. I can’t get out,” Ventura told him, according to James. She told him Combs controlled her music career, paid for her apartment, and gave her an allowance, James testified.
James will continue testifying tomorrow morning.

"The defense did some damage" on cross-examination of Kid Cudi, legal expert says
From CNN's Nicquel Terry Ellis
Rapper Kid Cudi’s testimony that his car was blown up in his driveway while he was dating Cassie Ventura did not prove Sean “Diddy” Combs was behind the arson, defense attorney and CNN legal expert Misty Marris said.

In the cross examination of Kid Cudi, defense attorneys were able to cast doubt on claims that Combs and his co-conspirators were involved in the car fire, Marris said.

“The defense did some damage on cross-examination,” Marris said. “Because there was no direct evidence that Combs was involved. There was never an arrest. There was never a prosecution relating to that incident.”

Marris said Kid Cudi testified that he never saw who blew his car up or had any direct information about it.

“He just believed it to be Combs because he thought Combs was quote ‘violent,’” Marris said.

The arson incident, legal experts say, is a key piece of the prosecution’s argument that Combs ran a criminal enterprise consisting of violent behavior, sex trafficking and the procurement of narcotics. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

This is all hearsay bullshit.

In a court of law he will be found not guilty. This does not mean he's not fucked up mentally or abuses women or whatever. It just means he's not guilty of what he's going to trial for.

This is O.J part deux without the murder aspect obviously. Unless the prosecution can come up with Diddy on tape admitting to doing the things he is being charged with he's gonna be a free man pretty soon. Then he will file a major lawsuit and win that.

This will honestly end up benefiting him and his career because now he can say he was a victim instead of a predator.

So far the witnesses that the prosecution has brought forth have failed at their job. The prosecution is a fucking joke so far.

I don't know if we can make a poll on GGB never tried. I still believe he gets convicted on all charges or at least some.

She played you' - Diddy's defence lawyer tells Kid Cudi
published at 18:45

Sakshi Venkatraman
Reporting from court

Before the lunch break, defence lawyer Brian Steele - known for getting rapper Young Thug acquitted on criminal charges in Georgia - continued Mescudi's cross-questioning.

After emphasizing there was no evidence of Combs' involvement in the break in to Kid Cudi's home or the destruction of his car, Steele honed in on questions about Ventura. He asked Kid Cudi how he felt to learn Ventura was seeing both him and Combs.

"She played you," Steele said.

"Yes," Kid Cudi replied .

Steele asked if Ventura "played" both Combs and Kid Cudi and whether they both wanted to figure out what was going on.

"Yes," Kid Cudi told the court.

There are only five charges, but he is not beating any of them. I just don't see how that would happen when it's pretty clear how this man operated. I get that this is not a traditional organized crime case, but no one can say that Diddy wasn't out there using tactics that most of us here are very familiar with.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs tried to ambush Suge Knight with guns, his ex Cassie Ventura said in court.
Everybody knows he was one of the guys behind the murder of Tupac Shakur but to proof it in court is another matter.

The Didster better be wearing 'soap on a rope' when he hits the shower! Cause guaranteed, they'll be looking to hit him! Lol

True but in prisons, a social hierarchy exists where prisoners' status is influenced by factors like the nature of the crimes committed.

Exactly. And certain types of crimes -- as well as the guys who perpetrate them -- are considered to be 'degenerate' in nature; rapists, child molesters, homosexual activity, wanton serial killers, etc., etc.

Believe it or not, as twisted as this may sound to some, there is definitely a 'moral compass' among the general prison populous. For that matter, there is also a caste system among them.

And those particular inmates who have been convicted of what is considered to be degenerate types of crime are viewed as 'tainting' the otherwise 'good name' of the criminal world. Subsequently, they are viewed as 'persona non grata.'
