Haaretz May 26, 2025 Gaza Aid Fund CEO resigns: 'It is impossible to implement the plan while maintaining humanitarian principles' The CEO of the Gaza Humanitarian Aid Fund (GHF) Jake Wood, announced his immediate resignation from his position.
Wood said that it is "impossible to implement the plan while upholding the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence — principles I will not compromise on." so gave up — 3 weeks
Wood added that he believes the only path to a long-term solution is: How original Einstein 1. "the release of all hostages, 2. cessation of hostilities, 3. and the creation of a pathway to peace, security, and dignity for all people in the region."
Wood, a senior figure in the humanitarian community who took on the role about three weeks ago to lead the U.S.-Israeli project aimed at providing food to Gaza's residents, shared that when he was approached, "GHF was a loose concept, a collection of ideas from a wide range of parties," and that his goal was to transform the initiative into "a truly independent humanitarian entity."
He said he developed a practical plan that took security needs into account, but it is not feasible to implement.
He further urged Israel to expand the flow of aid to Gaza using all available means, and called on all parties to continue exploring innovative methods for delivering aid, without delay or discrimination. Oh, oh Jake, Jake you are blind. Not with this terror thing that's been going on for 77 years --
