Many people in Israel and the West thought with elections HAMAS would become more moderate and tolerant huge mistake.
Those countries in the Middle East don't know our democracies Palestine like the others will never be a Democracy.

How George W. Bush Helped Hamas Come to Power
In Bush’s naïveté about the magic of elections, he ignored a crucial point about democracy.

I agree for the most part I already said in on October 7, Israel's millitary might is so strong they will destroy Gaza. The NAZIS at least surrended officially that is the only way out for Hamas and Gaza.

It is sad if it comes to santions againt Israel like Russia, but they have to stop the madness going on or become a pariah in the world.
There has to be a smarter way to defeat HAMAS, but Netanyahuwith all the corruption cases and his impopularity want the war to continue. Elections would be better in Israel !

Support for Dutch proposal for EU investigation into Israel
Author : BNR Web Editors
There is sufficient support for the request of Minister Caspar Veldkamp (Foreign Affairs) for an EU investigation into violations of humanitarian law by Israel. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has decided to carry out the investigation, Minister Veldkamp said after the meeting of EU foreign ministers. 'This is a very important and strong signal.'

According to Veldkamp, ??Europe is sending a 'very clear signal that we are serious. We are really very concerned about the humanitarian situation in Gaza'. In addition, the EU's message to Israel is that it 'must now stop the military action and completely lift the humanitarian blockade', Veldkamp said.

'Threat of sanctions against Israel from France is mainly symbolic'
The European Commission will now conduct an analysis of the human rights situation in Israel based on the human rights clause included in the association agreement between the EU and the country. Some countries believe that Israel is violating this clause and that the agreement should therefore be terminated.

Seventeen countries
The EU's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, said before the meeting that she did not know how the vote would go. According to European correspondent Michal van der Toorn, that is often a bad omen. Minister Veldkamp was more confident, he dared to say this afternoon that there was broad support among EU member states. In the end, seventeen EU member states supported Veldkamp's request, nine did not.

According to Veldkamp, ??exerting pressure on Israel from Europe is certainly an effective means. 'The more we as Europe act together and express our concerns about the humanitarian situation and the intensified Israeli war effort, the better,' the minister said before the council.

Don't know... Day 592 No doubt “We all must end this war before this war ends Israel." but how?
If sanctions against Israel like Russia — Israel already Global pariah on the world stage Final straw indeed

I reckon, Trump's pointed snub He was in the region Why the pointed unnecessary snub which has opened the floodgates even more to pile-on Israel

Hamas is:
1. laughing all the way to their terror tunnels
2. basking that their terrorist actions is being rewarded
3. sitting at the negotiating table as an equal

Thanks! with allies like this... Terrorism and Hostage taking is why this “madness going on”
It is Hamas riding roughshod over Israel and allies too, exactly what Hamas' planned and wanted Success right into their hands

Allies You do know, this war began because of:
1. Hamas’s terror actions inside Israel on October 7, 2023
2. and they could have ended it, at any point by releasing the hostages and surrendering -- even now
3. Hostage-taking is prohibited under international humanitarian law, constitutes a grave breach, a war crime and crimes against humanity
4. Geneva Convention prohibits the taking of hostages and are internationally unlawful acts
5. Nuremberg Principles adopted by the International Law Commission states that “killing of hostages” is a war crime

Foreign Ministry ‘completely rejects’ EU decision to review cooperation deal.

Israel rejects a European Union decision to review the bloc’s cooperation deal in a bid to pressure Israel over its intensified offensive in Gaza.

“We completely reject the direction taken in the statement, which reflects a total misunderstanding of the complex reality Israel is facing,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Oren Marmorstein says in a message on X.

The EU confirmed that a proposal to review the EU-Israel association agreement has passed 17 to 9
An official called the move 'reversible' depending on Israel's aid policy in Gaza.

Hamas still:
1. keeps calling the shots,
2. setting conditions,
3. making unreasonable demands,
4. refusing to disarm,
5. holding hostages
Yet... EU and other 'allies' consistently overlook these terror realities and continue to take Israel to task over everything they did or did not do...

Israel agrees to Witkoff deal but Hamas rebuffs proposal

Israeli officials said that there were no indications that Hamas would shift its position in ceasefire and hostage deal negotiations.

Hamas is refusing to agree to a deal based on the Witkoff proposal, despite Israel's agreement to the deal, the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement on Tuesday evening.

"Israel agrees to the American proposal for the return of the hostages, which is based on the Witkoff framework," the statement read.
"This proposal was recently conveyed to Hamas through the mediators, but so far it continues to cling to its refusal."

The statement confirmed that senior-level negotiators will return to Israel, while a working team will remain in Doha.

The Jerusalem Post reported that the remaining team in Doha is staying to show that Israel is still willing to make efforts to reach a deal. However, Israeli officials have repeatedly stated that no progress has been made in the negotiations and that there is no indication that Hamas is shifting its position.

Hostage talks are at a deadlock, Qatari PM says
Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that the talks had reached a deadlock The Media Line reported.

“One side seeks a comprehensive agreement for Gaza, while the other insists on a partial deal.
We have not been able to bridge the gap,” Al-Thani said, citing irreconcilable differences.

He blamed Israel’s “irresponsible and aggressive behavior” for undermining negotiations, referencing the Israeli military’s expanded campaign in Gaza following the release of hostage Edan Alexander. Never mind Hamas' “irresponsible, aggressive and murderous behavior”

Al-Thani added that Qatar remained committed to negotiations between the two parties. “We are determined, alongside our partners,
1. to stop the war,
2. secure the release of hostages
3. and end the suffering of Gaza’s civilians,”

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar:
Quote
Israel could end Gaza war ‘tomorrow’ if Hamas frees hostages, exits Strip.

In a statement, the Hostage and Missing Families Forum said that it did not believe the government had any plans to bring home the hostages.

“No spin will hide the simple truth – the Israeli government has no real plan to bring back the last hostage," it said.
"The majority of the public supports the return of all the hostages, even at the cost of halting the fighting.

"Only the return of all of them at once will allow for a process of rehabilitation and recovery for the country and the army.
Hamas will not be defeated without bringing back the last hostage.

"Until then, there will be no victory – not even the semblance of one."

Trump ‘frustrated’ with Gaza war, wants Israel to ‘wrap it up’

Administration officials cited, saying US president pushed Netanyahu to reopen aid crossings after he was ‘upset’ by images of suffering children in Gaza.
How 'authentic' are these "images"?

US President Donald Trump is “frustrated” by the ongoing war in Gaza, feels it is the last issue preventing prosperity in the Middle East and wants the Israeli government to “wrap it up,” according to a Tuesday report citing White House officials.

a White House official said, according to the report: “The president is frustrated about what is happening in Gaza. He wants:
1. the war to end,
2. the hostages to come home,
3. aid to go in
4. and to start rebuilding Gaza,”

“The president sees a real chance for peace and prosperity in the region, but the war in Gaza is the last hot spot and he wants it to end,” the official added.

A second official told Axios that “there is a lot of frustration by this crisis getting dragged on,” adding that the backchannel deal to release US-Israeli hostage soldier Edan Alexander last week developed from that feeling.

However, an Israeli official told the site that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu doesn’t feel pressured on the matter by Trump.
“If the president wants a hostage and ceasefire deal in Gaza he needs to put much more pressure on both sides,” the official said.

The White House stressed Monday that Trump wants the war in Gaza to end, though American officials denied reports that Washington was threatening to “abandon” Israel if it didn’t follow suit.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt added:
“The president is moving as quickly as he possibly can and working overtime to end these conflicts in both Israel and Gaza and also the Russia-Ukraine war,”

“The president made it very clear to Hamas that he wanted to see all hostages released.”
Again Hamas says — Yes! Sir Yes! Sir — three bags Full — Anything else...

US Ambassador to Israel Huckabee: 'I'm Asking if There Must Be a Separate Palestinian State'
So, what's the answer gonna be?

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has insisted in recent interviews that there are no rifts or disagreements between the White House and Prime Minister Netanyahu's government.

Huckabee says that while the United States is acting based on its own national interests, it refuses to forget Israel.
Well, did forget in Trump's recent trip

I thought it wasn't that bad with the Afrikaners, but I may change my mind thanks to Trump and who are they to say Israel is commiting genocide. It's true that SA is very violent and Black people are the most victims, but the political killing of white landowners has to stop.

We have two SA’s who farm with us every year, they’d move in a minute if they could but they’d have to leave us and apply for refugee status with no guarantees so they’re screwed either way they go. It’s a shame

As for Israel, they should occupy Palestine until every damn person comes back from the Hamas terrorists and they should continue to stop aid from coming in as well. Want your people fed, let the hostages go and get all you want. Until then, suffer.

In response to the claims by Trump, South Africa's foreign ministry spokesperson said in a post on X on Wednesday following the meeting:
"there is no land confiscation,"

He later quipped to Trump, referring to the luxury jet that the US accepted as a gift from Qatar earlier that day: "I'm sorry I don't have a plane to give you,"

Trump's antisemitism task force head: 'The shooter shouted "Free Palestine," but we must free ourselves from antisemitism instead'

Leo Terrell, the leader of the US President Donald Trump administration's antisemitism task force, responded to the shooting attack that killed two Israeli embassy workers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night.

"The shooter of these two beautiful souls shouted, 'Free Palestine.'

What we need to do is free our society from antisemitism and the violence it fuels! That's the real fight. And we will not back down."

Terrell's task force has been explicitly focused on pro-Palestinian activism, particularly on college campuses.
His comments indicate this strategy will only be further entrenched following Wednesday's killings.

1. the murderer and all other accomplices will be brought to justice,
2. and that the American government will keep fighting against antisemitic attacks,"

Netanyahu: Canada, France, UK demand of Palestinian state 'effectively means they want Hamas to remain in power'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following the shooting attack that killed two Israeli Embassy workers in Washington, the prime minister said that the leaders of France, Canada and the UK are "on the wrong side of humanity,"

He added that they effectively want Hamas to stay in power when demanding a Palestinian state.

In a video released by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Office on Thursday following the shooting attack that killed two Israeli embassy workers in Washington, the prime minister said that the leaders of France, Canada and the UK are "on the wrong side of humanity."

Netanyahu started by saying that the victims of Wednesday's shooting, Yaron Lischinsky and Sara Milgrim, "weren't the victims of a random crime."

"The terrorist who cruelly gunned them down did so for one reason and one reason alone — he wanted to kill Jews.
And as he was taken away, he chanted, 'Free Palestine!'"

Netanyahu went on to say that Hamas doesn't want a Palestinian state, but to "destroy the Jewish state," adding, "They want to annihilate the Jewish people, who have been in the Land of Israel for 3,500 years," he added.

"For these neo-Nazis, 'Free Palestine' is just today's version of 'Heil Hitler.'"

"I could never understand how this simple truth evades the leaders of France, Britain, Canada and others.
They are now proposing to establish a Palestinian state and reward these murderers with the ultimate prize," Netanyahu said.

The prime minister went on to address the countries' leaders point blank, saying that by demanding a Palestinian state, they effectively "want Hamas to remain in power."

"I say to President Macron, Prime Minister Carney and Prime Minister Starmer, when mass murderers, rapists, baby killers and kidnappers thank you:
1. you're on the wrong side of justice.
2. you're on the wrong side of humanity,
3. and you're on the wrong side of history."

"For 18 years, we had a de facto Palestinian state. It's called Gaza.
And what did we get? Peace? No. We got the most savage slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust,"

Netanyahu then said that he is willing that Israel only sign a temporary cease-fire, not a permanent one to end the war in Gaza:
"I'm ready for a temporary cease-fire to get more [hostages] out

But we demand, and you should demand, that all of our hostages be released and released immediately.
And so should every civilized country demand this."

'Blood on your hands': Israeli Knesset Members blame center-left party leader for D.C. shooting:
Israeli government ministers blamed center-left party leader Yair Golan's recent statements condemning Palestinian killings in Gaza for inciting the attack.

Far-right Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu wrote, "Yair Golan's blood libels are echoing among Nazis and Israel-haters around the world.
We are now paying the price in this deadly attack in Washington, and history shows we'll pay again in the future.

Yair, the blood of the embassy workers is on your hands and those of your allies."

Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar of the Likud party said, "When irresponsible and disgraceful politicians slander Israel with false accusations of genocide and war crimes, it's no wonder antisemitism rises and Palestinian terrorists feel emboldened to carry out attacks."

France rejects 'outrageous' Israeli comments accusing European officials of antisemitic incitement.

France has rejected on Thursday Israeli politicians' comments accusing European officials, including French President Emmanuel Macron, of antisemitic incitement, saying that it condemns "all antisemitic acts."

Earlier on Thursday, several Israeli politicians blamed European politicians and organizations for inciting against Jews.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said the incitement is "done by leaders and officials of many countries and international organizations, especially from Europe," adding that "libels about genocide, crimes against humanity and murdering babies pave the way exactly for such murders."

Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli specifically named several prominent world leaders as being among those responsible for the attack.

"We must also hold to account the irresponsible leaders in the West who give backing to this hatred — whether through appeasement, double standards, or silence," he wrote on X.

"French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney have all, in different ways, emboldened the forces of terror through their failure to draw moral red lines. This cowardice has a price — and that price is paid in Jewish blood," he added.

Netanyahu and Trump speak regarding Washington D.C. shooting, President's plan for Gaza.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with US President Donald Trump on Thursday, following the shooting attack that killed two Israeli embassy workers in Washington D.C.

The White House says President Trump is saddened and outraged by the killing of two Israeli embassy staff in Washington D.C.

"The American president expressed his deep condolences at the horrific murder in Washington," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement Saturday.

“These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social early Thursday morning. “Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA,” he continued. “Condolences to the families of the victims. So sad that such things as this can happen! God Bless You ALL!”

"The two also discussed the war in Gaza, and President Trump expressed support in the objectives set by Prime Minister Netanyahu:
1. to release all of our hostages,
2. bring down Hamas
3. and promote the Trump plan [for Gaza]."

Hungary Blocks EU Sanctions on Israeli Settlers Without Equal Measures on Hamas Affiliates.

To date, the EU has imposed sanctions on 12 individuals and three organizations, in addition to measures against Hamas leaders

Hungary has been blocking the European Union for over six months from imposing new sanctions on seven Israeli settlers and organizations promoting settlement expansion, conditioning its support on the EU also sanctioning members of Hamas and affiliated entities.

There is no excuse for the killing of two Israeli embassy workers

Critics of Israel’s atrocious conduct in Gaza should be clear that their focus is the authors of that violence — not Israeli civilians

Israel’s campaign of bombing and starving Palestinian civilians in Gaza is inexcusable.
It reflects a massive war crime, as the international criminal court has already charged, and arguably genocide.

But it in no sense justifies the murder of two young Israeli embassy workers in Washington by a man who then chanted:
“Free, free Palestine”. Nothing justifies violence against civilians.

The killing of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim occurred on Wednesday evening outside the Capital Jewish Museum, where the American Jewish Committee was hosting a reception for young diplomats. confused Inadequate and insufficient security measures failure for such an event, in heightened antisemitism frown

The suspect, identified as Elias Rodriguez of Chicago, was detained shortly after the shooting.
His social media accounts indicated that he had been involved in pro-Palestinian activism.

Beyond that, we don’t know exactly what motivated him, but he is likely to have acted in retaliation for Israeli atrocities in Gaza.
That would be unequivocally wrong.

That is not to deny the severity of what Israel is doing in Gaza.
As the news spread of the killings in Washington, Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least 86 people, according to Hamas controlled Gaza’s health ministry.

After an 11-week total blockade of Gaza, Israel has begun to allow in a mere pittance of humanitarian aid.
Even the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, described it as “minimal”, just enough to avoid problems with the US government.

At least 29 children and elderly people have already died from “starvation-related” deaths in recent days, the Palestinian health minister said, warning that thousands more are at risk.

To make matters worse, Netanyahu has expanded his war aims.
No longer is he seeking only the release of Hamas’s hostages and its relinquishment of power.

He now also says that Israel will not stop fighting until Donald Trump’s grotesque plan to expel all Palestinians from Gaza is implemented — a massive war crime and likely crime against humanity.

International humanitarian law, or the laws of war, do not apply to the gunman in Washington.
That law is meant for governments and organized military forces.

By all appearances the gunman was acting on his own.
But the principles of international humanitarian law can help us to assess this crime.

A basic premise of that law is that war crimes by one side never justify war crimes by the other.
The duty to comply with international humanitarian law is absolute, not reciprocal.

That same law mandates that civilians are never legitimate targets unless they take a direct part in hostilities.

The two victims in Washington were doing no such thing.
1. Lischinsky, was reported to be a research assistant in the political department at the Israeli embassy.
2. Milgrim organized trips to Israel. Neither activity is remotely military in nature.

These two young adults would be utterly inappropriate targets even in war, and needless to say, there is no war in Washington.

Frustration at Israeli atrocities in Gaza is understandable.
There seems to be nothing that the Israeli government can do that would stop Trump from continuing to arm and fund it.

Indeed, it was that war-crime logic that seems to have led the Israeli government, responding to Hamas’s murder and abduction of civilians on 7 October 2023 to have pursued its war in Gaza with little regard for the lives of Palestinian civilians that it has killed in the tens of thousands.

Difficult as it may be to accept, the proper response to Israeli war crimes is condemnation, prosecution and halting the arming and funding of these atrocities, but not acts of violence against civilians who are somehow associated with Israel or its government.

But that is not a point the Israeli government seems to want to make.
Having itself engaged in tit-for-tat killings, the Israeli government instead tried to profit from the disturbing episode by blaming its critics.

Israel’s foreign minister, Gideon Sa’ar, said:
Quote
“The attack is the direct consequence of the virulent and toxic antisemitic rhetoric against Israel and Jewish communities around the world that has been going on since October 7.”
