Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's decision to allow a minimal amount of aid into Gaza is 'flawed and insufficient'. This is what Foreign Minister Veldkamp said, a day after the large demonstration in The Hague against the government's policy on Israel. Members of Parliament are also very critical of the Schoof government. "This government is failing, real decisiveness is lacking."

Israel has been blocking aid supplies to varying degrees since the war began, with no supplies coming in at all for the past two months.

Minister Caspar Veldkamp (NSC) today criticized via X the announcement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to allow 'minimal aid'. "The catastrophic situation in Gaza requires massive humanitarian aid immediately to put an end to food shortages and human suffering," the minister wrote. "There must be an immediate ceasefire and Hamas must release all hostages."

Large demonstration against government policy
Despite Veldkamp speaking out a bit more against Israel in the Gaza Strip , there is a lot of criticism of the government's policy. Yesterday there was a large demonstration in The Hague against the government's policy on Israel. According to the organization, around 100,000 people participated in the protest. Several politicians from opposition parties also participated.

Prime Minister Schoof was in Rome during the demonstration at the inauguration of the new Pope. According to a spokesperson, Schoof spoke 'very briefly' with Israeli President Herzog about the concerns in the Netherlands about 'the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the importance of releasing all hostages'.
