'First opium plantation in Spain: for heroin production'
The Spanish National Police have discovered a poppy plantation near Cartagena in the Murcia region. According to the police, this is the first illegal opium field discovered in Spain so far. The operation has resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of 507 opium plants.
