That he was a coward. Every week another such story comes out: Dellacroce was afraid of another, or Gambino wass not smart, or Genovese was a coward, or Costello was, the BS just goes on and on. One day they'll say Sonny Franzese or John Gotti was informers, and certain people will believe it. Gambino would never have risen to where he was, or stayed there if he was afraid of so many people. A member or associate gossiping about him in an old FBI recording does not make it in any way true.

This part here:

"During one particular sit down between Gambino and Franzese things got pretty heated. Literally. Apparently Franzese was sweating a little bit. So, he reached into his pocket to take out a tissue."

sounds like total BS. At the end you say' It was a fact" that Franzese could scare Gambino and make him dive to the floor.

Gambino dives to floors, Dellacroce trembles in fear, Gigante was afraid---not just you, but the OC Shortz types love repeating these stories.

Good points. Still, to claim none of these guys feel any fear is BS. One hides it better than the other. A few don't feel it. A bunch have serious mental issues. No one can look inside the heads of these guys. But if a guy like Franzese comes out with such a story it lends it more credibility. Like I wrote: in the underworld it is hard to get all the facts. But if we can't quote the guys who were there then you can best ignore each and every story since everything is gossip and lies. Be it informants, turncoats, wiretaps etc. At least stories like this one are meant to be shared and chatten about. All so we can get to the bottom of it. If only some other guys at that table could share their stories, unlikely though that may be.
