From: Haaretz May 3, 2025 ‘Comprehensive air blockade’: Houthis call on international airlines to cancel flights to Israel as they threaten to ‘repeatedly’ target Ben-Gurion Airport
Israeli, US, UK air defences failed to stop Houthi ballistic missiles that hit Ben Gurion airport, wounding six.
Yemen’s Houthi rebels have fired a missile at Israel’s main airport, wounding six and forcing many foreign airlines to suspend flights for several days after US and Israeli air defence systems failed to stop the strike.
Yemen's Houthis called on all airlines operating routes to Israel to "take into consideration" their threat to "impose a comprehensive air blockade on Israel by repeatedly targeting Ben-Gurion Airport," following a missile strike that hit the airport in central Israel on Sunday.
The Houthis said all international airlines should cancel scheduled flights to Israel in order to "preserve the safety of their aircraft and agents."
