This is close. Both bosses were at the top of their borgata for over 30 years.

I have to go with Joe Profaci with this question; however.

Giuseppe Profaci, boss of the Colombo Family, owned 3 homes. He owned a large house in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, a home in Miami Beach, Florida, and a 328-acre (1.33 km2) estate near Hightstown, New Jersey, which previously belonged to President Theodore Roosevelt. Profaci's estate had its own airstrip and a chapel with an altar that replicated one in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, Italy.

I can't say who was wealthier necessarily, but Profaci definitely had more visible wealth from what I can tell.

Well, it's impossible to tell how lucrative their rackets were since neither filed a tax return or registered their borgatas with the SEC. But, I'm guessing that Profaci's net worth was greater because his legitimate businesses (tomato paste, olive oil) were bigger than Bonanno's, which I think amounted to a cheese factory in Wisconsin.

So far, these have all been interesting viewpoints, fellas.

Admittedly, choosing between these two men is a tough one. A VERY tough one indeed. Thats why I picked them in the first place...to give us a good one to contemplate.

Police found lawyers' letters, financial statements and investment scenarios that linked Bonanno to Quebec dairy mogul Lino Saputo and his businesses. Links between Lino Saputo and Bonanno have been evidenced between 1964 and 1979.

Saputo's Assets in 2025 are said to be 3.9 billion USD. My pick would be Bonanno, although Profaci had also big interests in the food industry.
