Villahermosa nightclub massacre in Mexico, 6 dead

At least six people have died and two are seriously injured, the provisional toll from the action of a group of armed men who burst into the Dbar nightclub in the city of Villahermosa, capital of the state of Tabasco in Mexico, at dawn on Sunday, shooting wildly at customers. Videos posted on social media show the dramatic scene that police officers found when they arrived at the club, with the bodies of the victims riddled with bullets scattered around the nightclub and young people in the grip of panic and despair. The motive for the massacre is still unknown, although the method of action, authorities say, is reminiscent of the ruthless violence of the drug cartels operating in the area.
