Henry Tameleo Patriarca Family,New England.
The worst part is that he was innocent. FBI held back evidence that would have exonerated him to protect Joe Barboza and Jim Flemmi from being exposed as snitches.
Charges were filed against the crooked Feds, and Tameleo's family received a huge settelement,as well as a posthumous pardon.
Another excellent addition, Lou. Yes, Tameleo got fucked around pretty good. So did his codefendants. Wasn't Peter Limone also sent away on that same case and served a ton of time before getting paroled?
Limone,Lou Greco, and Joe Salvati were all convicted in 1968. Greco, Salvati and Tameleo got the death penalty but their sentences were commuted in 1972 as part of the Furman V. Georgia decision.
Tameleo and Greco died in prison i,1985 and1995 respectively. Salvati was paroled in 1997.
Between 2001 and 2007,all charges for these guys were dismissed.
