I went to an observance this morning at a local cemetery that has a memorial monument for those who gave their lives for America.
A Military Honor Guard made up of representatives from each branch of the service assembled in front of the monument, and snapped to attention while a bugler blew "Taps".
They followed with a 21 gun salute. It was a very emotional experience.
In addition, the local Boy Scouts,American Legion, and VFW posts spent the last couple of days placing flags on the graves of every single Veteran.
The flags,as they are every year, were provided free of charge by the cemetery.
