'Ndrangheta and drugs, 142 investigated in Cosenza: maxi-operation against the "Italian clan"

There are 142 people under investigation in a maxi-proceeding for 'Ndrangheta conducted by the Catanzaro Anti-Mafia District Directorate, as part of which 137 precautionary measures were carried out on Tuesday morning in Cosenza and other cities. Among the hypothesized crimes are mafia association, criminal association aimed at drug trafficking and numerous other crimes, even aggravated by mafia methods and purposes. The gangs involved are the so-called " Italian clan". ", made up of the RuĂ , Patitucci and Lanzino groups, and the Abbruzzese clan, nicknamed "Banana".

The precautionary measures were issued by the district investigating judge at the request of the DDA, which coordinated the investigative activity of the Carabinieri, Police and Financial Police. The details of the operation will be communicated during a press conference scheduled for 11am at the Catanzaro Prosecutor's Office.
