What is up with these people who claim to hate rats , despise rats etc . but are rats themselves?
Jeff Canarsie and nymafia come to kind as perfect examples . Making videos and posts about rats but yet they are rats them selfs ?

Is the is just for views clicks? or are the people serious ?

They think its justifiable because to them they weren't bad rats. For example providing information to the feds for other mob guys in other families and never giving information out to the FEDS that would hurt their own family or crew.

For example say a crew in the Gambino Crime family was trying to take over the Garment district that the Lucchesse crime family was running. Well I could simply just cut a deal with the FEDS where they would take down that crew as long as I gave them information on what they were doing.

I cringe every time I hear some of these people go on their little rat rants. That Jeff guy talks like he's mentally challenged or something. This genre brings out some of the weirdest people I've ever encountered in my entire life lol

Yes it’s very strange , some of these people think there part of the mob or something. Some super creepy and weird people .

I hate most because they do the crimes then walk, and often lie to get out of their trouble, Take Pennisi, he new what he was getting into, then happily ratted, and now seems to make up stories on his podcasts. People hate them because they all have the same excuses, and a few seem to enjoy it.

Pennisi is probably the absolute worst example to use. He had no legal cases against him, he tried to leave the mob after incorrectly being labelled a rat, he felt people were trying to kill him, he left New York to start a new life prior to cooperating. Unless you are a member of that life (or have it in your head you are) why would you not support him doing everything he could to leave and ultimately decided he had to cooperate to get away from them? Or was so fed up with them that he chose to do that. What situation in the real world would you not agree with what he did lol?

And also I've watched his videos very closely since early on. What has he lied about?

Unless you're another scumbag criminal there's no reason to hate these guys for cooperating. Any decent human would prefer more of them to turn on the organization and put them in jail.

None of us are able to actually speak on how truthful John Pennisi's stories are but the info he has shared with us has checked out so many times he's by far the most honest guy doing videos right now and it isn't even close.

I’m yet to have caught him in an outright lie but I’m happy to be shown otherwise. Even merlino admitted to having met him which I was surprised he admitted so I’m not really sure where all the claims come from

It actually validated that what pennisi has said is accurate rather than undermine him

I don’t know what faith you are but every year there is a national holiday because a guy called Jesus came back from the death. So either a lot of what we do is idiotic or some crazy stuff happens lol

To be clear Jace I’m no particular fan of these guys personally (Mikey scars does seem like a nice guy) but I find their stories great and so far I haven’t see many blatant lies though I’m sure there have been some.

Like I see a lot of hatred for pennisi regarding crea trial but all he did was outline who Stevie crea was which I don’t think any of us dispute? He always has claimed to have had no knowledge of the meldish murder

Pennisi is the fucking worst of the worst. I don't even think people hate him for ratting. People hate him for being thin skinned and petty and he's the type of fuck who will shit on people to make himself look more virtuous. He's just a piece of shit

He definitely has his own style which is different. Personally, I just care about the knowledge and info he has so I don’t have to form an opinion on whether he’s a piece of shit or not. The people he speaks about are no different I’m sure

Pennisi does seem extremely thin skinned and gets insulted very easily. He comes across as the type of guy that you would be friends with one minute and the next minute he would stop talking to you because he took something you said the wrong way. Very strange.
I still say his cooperation started over something that happened with his girlfriend at the time.

Yea some of that I haven’t fully understood yet. He thinks one of big John’s brothers was after his girl, was potentially even sleeping with her. He then also said that he thought Joe perna was the one who sent guys to lay on him, I think there was some kind of falling out to do with pernas wife maybe? It got a bit confusing but sounds like he had people unhappy with him from different angles and the inevitable rat label got put on him. Which is funny when someone gets labeled a rat and then later becomes one lol were they a rat all along or did the accusations drive them to it…? People certainly have been killed for being wrongly labeled so it’s a dangerous game.
