That's right H!! Straight outta Los Angeles, she was one of the first blue-eyed soul (also called white soul) singers. They called her "the little girl with the big voice". She was greatly influenced by Dinah Washington, another gem of an artist who used to call herself the "the Queen of the Blues". Ironically, Dinah was more of a jazz vocalist, though. And even though she died very young, she left behind an impressive legacy and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a feat that Yuro never accomplished wink
