When I first started researching this case, it was clear to me that the conventional wisdom was that Sally Bugs shot and killed Hoffa. I think this notion needs to be challenged. There is simply no direct evidence that the Sally Bugs was in Detroit that day. I however leave open the possibility of his direct involvement in the hit because he was a close associate of Provenzano's and Hoffa expected Pro to be present. The only reason they would need him there is to help persuade Hoffa that Pro was in town. Otherwise Detroit had enough mobsters that had done business with Hoffa for decades and that could get close to him if needed.
