Any gang that has members charged and overindicted under RICO prob ably has rats who will take a deal that includes cooperating. The government is basicalling blackmailing some guys by their overindicting them

i some cities you have these Black street gangs who may or may not be offshoots of organizations like Bloods and Crips,etc
The bottom line is that they are now being charged under RICO because they are acting as a racketeering enterprise using violence in businesses like drug dealing.

When the local prosecutor charges them under RICO,their parents and community acts ewith outrage. They think that RICO ahould only be for gangsters like the Mafia,even though these street gangguys in one small might kill more guys that all the mob families in NYS have killed in 10 years over things like their drug turf ,etc.. And a lot of them rat .Maybe not as large a percentage of them rat as we've seen lately of the mafia,because these guys are mostly a lot younger and they or their families might be more susceptible to being killed tthan mafia rats
