The 'strange' murder of the doctor: she was returning home with her husband. Ndrangheta style ambush
A currently inexplicable crime that of 67-year-old Francesca Romeo in Calabria. Her husband, who is a psychiatrist, was also injured. According to the investigators' initial findings, she was the target.

The community of Sant'Anna di Seminara is clearly in shock over what happened this morning, Saturday 18 November: Doctor Francesca Romeo was killed and her husband Antonio Napoli was injured. Everyone is speechless in the small agricultural center where the doctor from the medical guard of Santa Cristina in Aspromonte , in Reggio Calabria, was born and lived with her spouse, a psychiatrist.

A crime that is currently inexplicable - "strange" as one investigator defines it - that of the 67-year-old. Anyone who knows a husband and wife who had no children speaks of respectable , reserved people .

From the reconstruction of the investigators of the Taurianova police station , the killers, it seems at least two, knew the car and knew that the couple of doctors were returning home after finishing their shift : they waited for the victim to negotiate a sharp bend on the provincial road to come out into the open and riddle the car in which Francesca Romeo was traveling with her husband with a rifle.
