They released a book making that claim about Pennisi and then had to retract it. Would be interesting to see where/what this document says he admitted doing it. I guess if he had been granted immunity for the crimes he committed then that's how they keep it out of a case? He's on parole until 2025 or something but nothing has been made clear about what he's on parole for so this is interesting. Also odd to me as if true it's a non-mob related crime so why would it be relevant to any immunity regarding cooperating against the mob
To your question about it being not mob related: Merlino said that the judge claimed it would make Pennisi look bad to the jury. He claims he has all the paperwork to back it up.
