Admittedly, the following Families were each ranked as a ‘second-tier’ borgata in size, power and underworld influence. If you were to choose to become a formally inducted ‘soldier’ in one of them, which Family would you pick?

But before you make your decision, please consider some of the following criteria which may help you choose wisely;

~ The role you could possibly play within the borgata, based upon the Family’s strength, wealth, rackets they ran, and the overall influence the Family exercised over the geographical territory they controlled?

~ The longevity of the borgata, from its first inception to its last days before extinction?

~ What was the respect afforded them by all the other Families?

~ The vibrancy and resilience of their day-to-day operations?

~ Were their members constantly being arrested and jailed?

~ Were they a violent family with much internal conflict over the years, killings, and/or gangland warfare?

I think I would have to kick up more than even Big Paul wanted though. Otherwise, I would have to go with the St. Louis borgata, it's closer to Vegas.

Nah, from what I hear, the Family administration only 'taxes' their button guys .92 cents a week. A real 'steal' by anyone's standards. Lol

Simply out of the fact that of those mentioned I'm most familiar with STL, I'd lean there as well.

I'm not following your train of thought Hollander? How does that correlate with the overall criteria of which borgata you'd choose? Do you mean you think you wouldn't be bothered in S.F. as much?

Well, I'd have to strongly agree with you. In my mind, the Bufalino Family of Pittston, PA/Binghamton, NY were a very deceptively powerful group...much larger than most people realize (even researchers), and way more influential.

If they're not the most powerful of the five (and I truly believe they were), then for certain, they were among the top tier.

Yes that is what I mean look for example at how big the Hells Angel's became over there.

Im gonna choose St.Louis based on geographical reasons of me livng in Central IL and the Outfit wasnt a choice....and i like the Nino Parrino Era....and im half Lebanese on my fathers...mothers side was Italian tho...i do like how there was Middle Eastern presence down there too with Jimmy Michaels the those Syrian guys.
