It was at this time that I truly wished I had my camera handy. DMC and his fiancee were sitting across the table from me so I could see their expressions clearly. They both were wide eyed in wonder almost as asking if this is how the group always acted.

FWIW - The two of them make a great couple... you can see there's real love there! [/b][/quote]SC, we saw nothing wrong with how any of YOU acted.....that manager on the other hand

We weren't embarassed, ashamed, none of that. I don't know why we came off that way.

I was honestly more concerned with how the manager was talking to SB, and how DC would react to it.

So, there we are trying to decide what to order. No one else there wanted tongue, so because I talked about it for like a year, DC encouraged me to order a tongue "sandwich" (13 oz in the small one! ) in addition to the 4-pound 4-meat platter we were already ordering (corned beef, pastrami, turkey, brisket) plus swiss cheese. Like we didn't already have enough to eat!

I asked her later how she knew who to give the card to (figuring the card should have been given directly to Geoff). She said that the card was "called in" and she decided to give it to me because I was the "loud-mouth" from Friday night.

I THINK she was joking.

After this weekend, I suggested to Geoff that he change some of the names here to :

Sicilian Babe : Connie Corleone

Don Cardi : Don Sonny Corleone

SC : Frankie Five Angels ( they told me Don Cardi said this, and Don Malta said that, and I said Yeah, Sure )

Consigliere's Lady : Mama Corleone ( for her calmness )

Don Smitty : Don houdini ( for his dissapearing acts )

MIG : The Pastrami Queen ( for all the deli food she ordered )

PLAW : Don Fannucci ( that suit and hat were just great )

Looks like such fun, guys! As I'm sure is the same for everyone who didn't go, I sure wish I could've been there, but just seeing the pictures and hearing the stories (even if they're made up... ) is almost as good.

It's always great to see the familiar faces of the BB, but it was also very cool to see people like SB and DMC for the very first time - it's so amazing that these are people we talk to everyday behind a computer screen, and now we get to see each other.

I'm so happy for you guys!

Maybe I should expand on this... tho it's a bit longer than I had planned, sorry...

It was probably around 3:30am by the time I got to bed, after using SC's computer for a few minutes. So I stumble into bed looking forward to a nice "vacation" sleep. I have insomnia anyway, so it takes me at least 30 mins to fall asleep. What seemed like 30 mins later (it was actually about 3 hrs later, around 7am) there's a knock on my door. I stagger over to the door and look through the peep hole and see it's pitch black, so I'm thinking someone's holding their hand over the hole -- and it was gonna be a hit! LOL

I open the door to see Lori there. As you heard already, there was a blackout. I suppose Lori wanted to make sure my room didn't have power, too. :p  LOL

[Edit: Reading back I was reminded that after L woke me up, I tried to go back to sleep, and then heard another knock on the door, so went to answer it (growling - LOL). No one was there! I'm thinking, "WTF?!" LOL. Then I hear another knock, but from the sliding patio door. That's when L was hiding behind a shrub not knowing if it was the right door! LOL]

Long story short, even though I'm dead tired and feel like a zombie, we decide to go to breakfast, then walked it off a bit by checking out the outdoor pool area. Then we decide to get online so I drag myself back to SC's room where I proceed to check some fantasy sports stuff as SC and Lori throw themselves on to the bed for a nap! LOL

I leave, and it's like 9am or so, and all I wanna do is go back to bed, but figured that everyone else is probably up and about already, having breakfast, etc, so I stayed up. Of course, it was at least an hour or so when everyone was starting to emerge from their rooms! (Wish I had known that! LOL ) I then saw DC and family at breakfast so chatted with them a while.

By around 11 I started to keep an eye out for DMC when someone said he had posted to the BB at 11am that he'd start out in about 30 minutes. Mmm Hmm. We're all now standing outside, except for SC and Lori, so I decided to call and wake their asses up! :p LOL Soon thereafter they come down, and the Horse Track crew takes off as Miggy, Becky and myself wait for DMC - being entertained by an outdoor Indian wedding reception. DMC and his better half finally arrive and we take off for the Corleone Compound about 12:20, and get back around 2:30. DMC goes to check into his hotel nearby, and I decide to finally take a nap before Plaw is expected around 4pm.

I'm just about falling asleep when my phone rings around 3pm -- DC reporting in from the race track. Hang up, go back to bed, where it takes about 20 minutes to fall asleep again. 4pm, Plaw calls! So I gave up trying to sleep. LOL

Plaw asks me where I am, as he cannot find us at the Marriot. We're not at the Marriot, I said. LOL (That's where DMC was staying) He said he was to meet SB in the lounge at 4pm, so I freshen up and go down to meet them, telling them that no one around here lets me sleep.... LOL

I'll wait.... I'll visit my money there in a month, or so.

Seeing that horse die was a real downer. All joking aside, I think horses are great animals and those that run to win are great athletes. It was terribly sad to see one go down.

Lori pointed out later that it was the #6 horse in the sixth race on the sixth day of the month.

Mig I would like to publicly apologize if I offended you in anyway with my comments. I understand how what I said could have been taken the wrong way and have offended some. I did think about that before I posted but I was hoping they wouldn't be taken the wrong way. I remember not too long ago a certain member brought my mother into a conversation and I was very pissed off to say the least! However, I think most here know how much love and respect that I have for this board to disgrace it in anyway. For my comments I am sorry and will refrain from making them again! All I was trying to say was that your daughter is very beautiful

Gee, and I thought I was quite restrained at the restaurant because I hadn't met you guys before!

OMG! You know what, the restaurant supplied far more laughs than anything else, and I for one would brave the Tuscany Grill again, just to be with you guys.

I have to admit that when I first arrived at the bar, and nobody else was there yet, my husband and I were making plans to go to the pool because we were convinced that nobody was going to show up, and then JG strolled in. I must admit to being quite relieved.

I truly cannot tell you all how much fun I had. JG, you don't bite? Damn!!

I had to come home to dinner for 12. My nephew is visiting from Texas with his girlfriend and her daughter, so that meant them, plus my brother and his wife and other nephew, and then my daughter wanted to invite her boyfriend....

Thank God my mother was watching the kids and made a huge pan of baked ziti. Of course, being Italian, that wasn't going to be enough, and we had to grill steaks and have bread and salad.

Our company just left, and my husband is passed out in bed already. I think you guys wore him out!

I don't think so!! He was bustin' a move when I left to go to sleep and he was constantly trying to figure out a way to break into the pool (including some intelligence gathering forays surveying the hotel's gate locks). He's a ball of energy!!

I did, however, need some extra sleep today. Lori, on the other hand, went back out to Pennsylvania today after picking up some friends and her kids.

Here are a couple of more pics, though.
