Adding insult to injury we just had a power failure here (as I was reviewing my last post - above). The lights, air conditioning and internet connection suddenly went out.... I thought I blew up the system. Running over to the door I saw the whole corridor was totally black. I woke up Lori and she decided that Geoff (3 rooms down) had to see this, too. Surprisingly he got up right away and his phone was working so the front desk told us the engineer was working on it.

OK..... back to the room to await the return of the power when Lori gets a brainstorm that we should go outside (we're on the first floor) and make like we're breaking into Geoff's room from the patio door. Only problem is we're not 100% certain which door is his. I get bamboozled into being the one who knocks while Lori is hiding behind some shrubbery just in case its the wrong door. Luckily we had the right door and called the manager (again) only to find out it was a public utility (i.e. an area-wide) problem.

Lights came back on in a few minutes but now we're wide awake and looking for some brews. I guess we'll settle for some breakfast.
