Customs at Schiphol found 116,500 LSD stamps during a check. The party has been seized. Henriette Bongers, director of Customs Schiphol Cargo, reports this in a message on Twitter.

LSD is available in liquid form or in pills, but is also dripped on colorful printed rolling papers. The hallucinating hard drugs are illegal and are on List 1 of the Opium Act.

Whether the LSD stamps were found in luggage or whether anyone was arrested has not been disclosed.

Customs found about 1500 kilos of cocaine in a container with pallets of bananas in the port of Vlissingen on Wednesday morning. It is the largest batch of drugs found in Zeeland this year.

110 million euros
Customs discovered the drugs through investigation. The container with bananas had already been unloaded from a seagoing vessel. It has not been disclosed from which country the container came. According to the judiciary, the drugs have an estimated street value of more than 110 million euros. The Seaport Police is conducting an investigation into those involved in drug smuggling.

Customs worked closely with the Seaport Police with the support of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee and the Special Assistance Team (TBB).

The drugs have since been destroyed by the Customs Special Assistance Team.

Dutch arrests in investigation into mega-catch of ketamine

The detective raided three homes in Steenbergen on Tuesday morning in connection with the discovery of a huge stock of ketamine. Eight suspects have already been arrested. In February, a secret storage of 1700 kilograms of ketamine was discovered in a farm near Steenbergen.

Italian customs police on Thursday announced the seizure of 5.3 tons of cocaine from a fishing boat off Sicily's south-western coast, hailing it as the biggest drug seizure ever made in Italy.

The cocaine haul has a street value was estimated at more than €850 million, according to the Guardia di Finanza police.

The seizure was the result of an air and sea reconnaissance by Palermo financial police and prosecutors from the anti-mafia directorate whose officers followed a merchant vessel flying the Palau flag and a fishing boat that departed from the Calabrian coast.


The seizure was made on Wednesday night in the Strait of Sicily after police detected that numerous packages were being offloaded from the merchant ship and being collected by the fishing boat.

Following a search, officers discovered the massive haul of drugs crammed into a hidden room below deck, concealed behind panelling.

The boat was seized and the five men aboard were arrested. The merchant ship was also blocked by police as it headed in the direction of Turkey.
