John Pennisi also mentionned a situation when a small-time bookie was falsely claiming he was protected by the Lucchese Family. He was smacked by Pennisi and the Lucchese wanted to tax him but he went to the Bonannos and the two families worked something out.

That situation with the Colombos was interesting. As you say astonishing him apparently not being connected. I read that one of the Colombo guys got to him and put an end to it or got some money out of him
