I agree regarding Battaglias paranoia since he was quite careful and wanted to stay away from the spot light and I also believe that he was probably somehow "forced" to take boss position. Also, during the 1930's two of Battaglia first cousins Paul and August Battaglia were killed, while after Battaglia's death his brother Tony was also killed. And yeah, Battaglias grandson Jonathan “Bates” Battaglia is a NHL player and allegedly owns (or maybe owned by 2005) two condominiums, two mansions, a bar, a building in Raleigh's restaurant district.
