He's actually Sicilian.Gaetano Fidanzati jr, grandson of his namesake one of the most powerful bosses in Palermo and heavily involved in drug trafficking. He was the protagonist of the alliances between the Sicilian Cosa Nostra, the American Cosa Nostra, the Neapolitan Camorra and the Colombian drug cartels. Fidanzati died in 2013.
