Crips in the Netherlands
In the late 1980s , young people in the Netherlands were inspired by gang life in Los Angeles through various media such as films , music and books . Crips gangs mainly formed in the large cities in the west, especially in The Hague and Rotterdam, but later also in Amsterdam. The Hague is seen as the city with the highest concentration of Crips gangs. In the 1990s, several Crips members from America were arrested in the Netherlands. They mainly engaged in robberies . The Van Traa Commission conducted research among Crips gangs in the Netherlands in the 1990s. Although there were many Crips gangs in the Netherlands, there were only twelve that could be labeled as a criminal street gang. Most members were found to have criminal records of attempted murder , manslaughter , endangerment , possession of weapons , robbery , arms trafficking , prostitution , drug trafficking , rip deals , car trafficking , extortion , shootings , brawls and drug offenses. The first Crips gang in the Netherlands was created in 1989 when the Crazy Underground Criminals (CUC) gang from The Hague changed its name to Criminal Underground Crips. Today they are known as the Main Triad Crips. In 2009 Strapped 'n Strong was released, a documentary about a number of members of the Main Triad Crips gang in The Hague, who have promised each other eternal loyalty. The members emphasize that loyalty with tattoos like Crip4Life . A few years before the release of the documentary, a book about them was published by Saul van Stapele under the name Crips.nl .

In 1990, Eight Tray Gangster Crips was founded in The Hague [5] and soon expanded in the Netherlands mainly in the larger cities such as Groningen, where co-lead founders were located such as Dominican-born Triple OG 2strike eXodus who was in bondage with former members such as Buddlocc of the MTC (Main Triad Crips) [6] now known as Rollin200/calohwagohmc [7] . This makes Eight Tray Gangster Crips Also known as ETGC and NSGC (North Side Gangster Crips), next to Rollin200, one of the oldest and still existing Crip formations in the Netherlands.

A number of years ago, a department of the Crips was also founded in Amsterdam. [source?] The 241 Gangster Crip gang has been established in the Gein district in Amsterdam Southeast. One of the founders, SinQuin, was murdered in the same neighborhood in 2012.
