Wanted Dutchman arrested on Spanish highway

In Spain, the Guardia Civil arrested a Dutchman who was wanted here for drug trafficking. That happened on Thursday near the coastal town of Burriana, just above Valencia, on the AP-7 highway. The Guardia Civil carried out a traffic control there. After checking the documentation of the vehicle and that of the occupants, it turned out that a 53-year-old man was wanted in the Netherlands because he still has to serve a sentence for drug offenses.

A court in North Holland convicted the man in the spring of 2020 of exporting drugs to the United Kingdom. This involved 201 kilograms of cocaine, 150 kilograms of MDMA (the active substance in ecstasy pills), and 150,000 ecstasy pills.

The Dutchman will be taken to Madrid where a judge must approve his extradition to the Netherlands.

Thanks m2w not much is known about his early years, but his father already had some influence in the underworld.

Sex club Reeperbahn in Breda used to belong to the father of Bolle Jos.

If it is up to the judiciary, Henk Rommy, better known as 'the Black Cobra', will spend 22 years in prison for giving the order for the double murder of Henie Shamel and his girlfriend Anne de Witte. The public prosecutor made the demand in the presence of the suspect, who insists that he is innocent of the murder of the well-known diamond dealer and drug trafficker in Antwerp.

According to the Public Prosecution Service, the statements of key witness Giuseppe La Serpe are an important part of the evidence. The criminal made the statements in 2006. Other suspects in the murder of Shamel and De Witte were convicted partly on the basis of that evidence. Justice does not see him as a co-perpetrator, because he was in Maarssen at the time of the double murder. But according to the prosecutor, he is guilty of incitement.

Jesse R. and Moppie R. would have worked for Henk Rommy. They were both convicted of, among other things, the double murder in Antwerp. Crown witness La Serpe would have heard from Jesse R. that liquidating was cheaper for Rommy than paying.

On Friday, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) demanded life in prison against Saïd Razzouki, the alleged right-hand man of Ridouan Taghi, in the extensive Marengo assassinations trial. Among other things, R. is suspected of involvement in several murders and attempted murders and of leading a criminal organization. The OM described it as a “completely unscrupulous organization.”
Razzouki (50) was in court to hear the demand. He mainly looked the other way while the public prosecutor made the closing statement. “Ridiculous,” he said after the OM made its sentence demand.
Taghi is seen as the person who ordered the murders. Razzouki would arrange shooters and spotters.
The OM already entered sentence demands against the other suspects in the Marengo case in the middle of last year, including life sentences for Taghi and four other suspects.
The case against Razzouki is behind the rest partly because he was arrested in Colombia only after the criminal case had already started. He was arrested in Colombia in February 2020 and extradited to the Netherlands in December 2021. Razzouki changing lawyers also delayed the process.
The lawyers representing the other suspects in the Marengo case have all completed their pleas. His lawyers will likely have their turn in May. The court plans to rule in October.

Some say Razzouki was the real boss. Razzouki was born in Morocco in Beni Touzine. He has older and younger siblings, the eldest sister of whom is about thirteen years older. His mother died in 1994, after which his father remarried. In the Netherlands, the large family lived mainly in Utrecht, but also in Groningen. As far as is known, Razzouki has two children, with a large age difference.
From the Netherlands, Razzouki fled to Colombia, where he hid for several years. In Medellin he enjoyed the protection of the cartel Clan del Golfo. The investigative authorities saw his daughter, whom he was very fond of, as a weak spot. The authorities hoped to find him through her.

Also France i think, the Ait Touzine are a Riffian tribe from the Rif Mountains of northeastern Morocco. Nowadays a large number of the Ait Touzine are living in Europe as a result of the migration in the 1970s. Most of them moved to the Netherlands and Belgium.

Appeal court upholds 30 year jail terms for lawyer murder ]

Appeal court judges have upheld the 30 year sentences imposed on two men who murdered lawyer Derk Wiersum, despite the public prosecution’s call for life.
Giërmo B (37) and Moreno B (32), who both claimed to have an alibi for the shooting, were first convicted in 2021 on the grounds of DNA and telephone evidence, and the fact they both had large amounts of money shortly after the murder. Wiersum was acting for Nabil B, a key witness in a major drugs and murder trial revolving around gang leader Ridouan Taghi, when he was killed near his home in Buitenveldert, Amsterdam in 2019.
Taghi is one of 17 people currently standing trial in Amsterdam accused of ordering six murders and another seven attempted killings between 2015 and 2017.

Dark phase
The killing of Wiersum was described at the time as a ‘new, dark phase’ in the increasingly deadly underworld drug wars and prompted justice minister Ferd Grapperhaus to pledge tough new measures against drug criminals. At the moment life prisoners become eligible for parole after 25 years, when they can take their case to a special panel that assesses their behaviour and development in prison, the risk of re-offending and the impact their release could have on victims and their relatives.
The final say rests with the minister for legal protection but last year the Dutch sentencing council RSJ said the ministerial role should be scrapped.

Godfather Piet S. calls himself referee for criminal groups: 'I'm done with prison'

The mega-trial against the 'The Hague godfather' Piet S. and his accomplices in the drug world begins in the court in The Hague. The Public Prosecution Service has been investigating the 'Taxus' case for four years now. The 66-year-old S. is said to be one of the biggest drug lords in the Netherlands, who managed to stay under the radar for years.
More than twenty suspects have been arrested, partly because agents were able to read the encrypted messages from communication service Encrochat.
I have not been involved in drug trafficking in recent years, he stated on Monday morning during the first day of the substantive treatment of the case against him. After his last prison sentence, around 2008, he thought it was 'enough' in prison. "I'm kind of done with it." In his own words, he was a kind of mediator, a referee, for criminal groups.

Yab Yum , the world-famous brothel that once flourished on Amsterdam's Singel, will never reopen. Still, the fight over property rights continues in court between former Hells Angel boss Harrie Stoeltie and his brother-in-law and owner Hennie Vitalli.
It's possible Holleeder will mediate from the EBI in the family feud.

'Cybercrime increases the impact of traditional crime'
March 9, 2023

The influence of cybercrime will increase the trade in drugs, people and weapons in Amsterdam. The police are not yet well prepared for this.

Impact
This is evident from the presentation of the crime figures by the Amsterdam triangle, which the Amsterdam newspaper Het Parool reports on Thursday .

According to the police and the mayor, cybercrime's greater reach increases the impact of 'traditional' crime such as the trade in drugs, people and weapons. According to the triangle, that shift will continue.

Insight
The police say they are not yet well equipped for this. Too few detectives are trained in the field of cybercrime and the police do not have the latest ICT resources and techniques.

Police officers and employees of the Public Prosecution Service are therefore being trained in their expertise in this area, according to the newspaper. This should also help them to gain a better understanding of the digital environment of young criminals.

record low
In addition to these figures, the police confirmed that Amsterdam had a record low in the number of deaths from violence in 2022. There were no assassinations in Amsterdam last year.

AMSTERDAM - Crown witness Nabil B. is without lawyers. Peter Schouten and Onno de Jong have put down the defense of the key witness in the mega-liquidation process Marengo.

Nabil B. announced this to the court on Tuesday. The key witness was supposed to be heard in the case of one of the main suspects in the trial, Saïd Razzouki. Nabil B. only wants to explain the reason for his lawyers' departure behind closed doors.

Lawyer Onno de Jong does not want to confirm or deny the news and invokes professional secrecy.

Commando linked to Taghi was pivotal in setting up a new special unit
For years, the commando that links the Public Prosecution Service to criminal Ridouan Taghi played a pioneering role in a new reconnaissance unit of the army. The soldier, Sil A., is now on trial for arms and drug trafficking. The case will be dealt with behind closed doors at the request of the defense. According to the court, a public hearing of the case could jeopardize the safety of the suspect and other employees of the Commando Forces Corps.

Alleged heir of Taghi, Gregory F. got nine years in Amsterdam few days ago after sweet deal with procecutors, he was convicted of the import of 1800 kilos coke and leading a criminal organization.

Henk Rommy (72), alias “De Zwarte Cobra”, was acquitted on Friday by the court in Amsterdam of commissioning the double murder in Antwerp in 1993, where drug trafficker Henie Shamel and his girlfriend were killed. The OM demanded 22 years in prison last month .

The court says it sees indications of Rommy's involvement, but finds the evidence insufficient. Rommy's lawyer Mark Teurlings says he is 'very happy' with the acquittal 'after 22 years of work and waiting'.

The Rotterdam court has provisionally released the Surinamese drug lord Piet Wortel. In the case, W. is suspected of two liquidations and involvement in large-scale cocaine trafficking. The Rotterdam court sees insufficient evidence to keep Wortel in pre-trial detention any longer. He remains suspicious. Lawyer Ruud van Boom asked the judge to lift the pre-trial detention because there is no evidence, except 'gossip'. For example, there is anonymous information that professional football player Quincy Promes would have done business with W.

Sil A. (44), the commando suspected of arms and drug trafficking and linked by the judiciary to Ridouan Taghi's network, was himself involved in plans in 2019 to eliminate Taghi in Dubai, according to his lawyer. That writes the Algemeen Dagblad .

According to A.'s lawyer Michael Ruperti, this is the only link his client has with Taghi, he said during the hearing of the criminal case on Monday. According to Ruperti, commando Sil A. is still surprised that he is associated with Taghi by the judiciary. 'My client suffers from being constantly linked to Taghi. He doesn't know him personally and doesn't think anything of this man.'

Secret operation
Shortly after his arrest in February 2022, A. would have said that in 2019 he was only involved in preparing the secret plan to pick up Taghi and possibly eliminate him in Dubai or Iran. The plan is said to have been discussed with employees of the secret services, among others.

A. had his doubts about an operation in Iran, but in Dubai – where Taghi was eventually arrested – he certainly saw possibilities. It would have been the first time that the Commando Forces Corps had actually been deployed to take out Taghi in the deepest secrecy in another country.

Detectives from the national unit of the National Police arrested a 29-year-old Dutch man in the Penitentiary Institution Veenhuizen on Monday on suspicion of involvement in the attack on the life of Peter R. de Vries on July 6, 2021. The man was in Veenhuizen a sentence of five years in prison for dealing in hard drugs and firearms. A total of nine suspects have now been arrested in the investigation.

Crime reporter Peter R. de Vries was shot in Amsterdam on July 6, 2021. He died nine days later. According to the national prosecutor's office of the Public Prosecution Service, the man who was arrested on Monday is probably part of the criminal organization that was involved in the murder of De Vries, among other things.

Dennis G., Taghi's contact, arrested in the Dominican Republic
April 17, 2023

Dutchman Dennis G. (47) was arrested in the Dominican Republic on Saturday, who is seen by the investigative services as a criminal contact of Ridouan Taghi. G. would be seen as a childhood friend of Taghi and one of the last criminal contacts around his organization, who was still at large. That writes De Telegraaf.

Following a Dutch extradition request, the Public Prosecution Service in the Dominican Republic, in collaboration with the drug control service Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas (DNCD), tracked down and arrested the Dutchman.

Large-scale cocaine trade
Dennis G., alias “Rasta”, is seen by the Public Prosecution Service and the National Criminal Investigation Department as an important player in the international cocaine trade. He would use criminal contacts in both the Dominican Republic and the Netherlands, including corrupt port employees.

Ennetcom
According to the OM, decrypted Ennetcom messages show that G. is probably involved in cocaine shipments of 985 and 522 kilos, which were seized in Colombia in 2015. G. would be the owner of the packages of cocaine, which were stamped with his nickname "Rasta". He is also said to be involved in a transport of 47 kilos of cocaine, which was intercepted in Great Britain in 2015.

Decrypted messages from SkyECC have given rise to suspicion that he was also involved in the import of hundreds of kilos of cocaine into the Netherlands in 2019 and 2020.

Luxurious villa
Dennis G. spent years in the Dominican Republic. He was already arrested there in 2015 in connection with the discovery of cocaine in his home and was held in custody for some time. According to the most recent investigative information, he lived in a luxury villa in Santo Domingo. It is not yet known when he will be extradited to the Netherlands.

The Netherlands does not have an extradition treaty with the Dominican Republic, but suspects are sometimes extradited, as happened in January 2022, for example, with the Dutchman Cor P. , who survived an assassination attempt in the Dominican Republic.

Man...the media keeps on insisting to use the term "Mocro mafia". Meanwhile when you take a look at the guys arrested there's one native Dutch, one Surinamese and one Curaçaoan guy. There's no "Mocro mafia". These are just drug trafficking organizations based in the Netherlands. Some are Moroccan, some are native Dutch, some are Surinamese or Curaçaoan. And they're all locked in a constant shifting of alliances and rivalries.

100% some journalists wrote a book years ago with the title "Mocro Maffia" and other media and even a TV series are using it but it doesn't do them justice. One of the journalsts almost regretted they used the term.

I thought this was funny.

Mocromafia is now called 'Mafia with a migration background'
Name had acquired negative connotations

The Mocromafia changes its name to 'mafia with a migration background'. According to leader Saïd R., the old name had acquired a negative connotation.

“We received many e-mails from people who had a bad taste because of the term 'Mocro'. We wanted to get rid of that. We do not want people to get an unpleasant feeling because of our organization,” said R. in a statement.

The Surinamese and Curaçaoans are actually stronger than the Moroccans, because of their close links to Colombia and their big diaspora here in Holland.

Top criminal lawyer Inez Weski (68) was arrested on Friday. She is suspected of passing on information from her client Ridouan Taghi from the Extra Secure Institution (EBI) in Vught to the outside world. That writes De Telegraaf.

Weski would have been arrested in Rotterdam. She is locked in and is being interrogated.

The investigation of the Public Prosecution Service into Weski has been going on for some time and was started in response to decrypted messages from PGP telephones, which, according to the judiciary, show that she may have passed on information from Ridouan Taghi to relatives of Taghi.

The Public Prosecution Service has informed the Dean of the Bar Association of Weski's arrest.

They had already enough leads last year, why is she arrested now? Two days after Taghi and his lawyer took the Dutch state to court. They accuse the state of an alleged plan to kidnap or kill Taghi in Dubai.
