All of those are nearly 20 years old and in Coppola's case over 20 years so not even the 21st century. No one would consider them recent enough to say the Mafia still kills people lol The last murder ordered by a Family was Michael Meldish by the Lucchese Family in 2013. So it's been 10 years since we had a murder ordered. Scott Burnstein and Dave Schratweiser have said they heard a edict came down saying no more murders. It's safe to say murders aren't happening except in extreme cases that we have not yet seen.

Canada is completely different then the USA. Their laws and police aren't the same. The level of corruption is not the same. The prison sentences aren't the same. It's a poor comparison to say it happens in Canada it can happen here in the USA. The people who run Quebec and the murders taking place there might not even be LCN anymore. The murders in Ontario have mostly been Ndrangheta related or related to other groups. The couple that have been LCN related were Angelo Musitano, Pat Musitano, Cece Luppino and Alberta Iavarone and only 2 of them may have been made. Many of these murders have been solved too but like any murder LCN related or not some do go unsolved just like any other country.
