James (Jimmy Informant) Inendino was a valued "cooperator" and major FBI asset since at least the mid-1960s (at the earliest).

Carried under the secret FBI Informant code, #6931-C," internal FBI documents list him as one of their top rats since at least March, 1965, through May, 1969. And again, list him as being "active" in the 1970s as well.

But there's NO DOUBT that he provided very sensitive information about Chicago's underworld to a greater, or lesser, degree, for well over 50 years. WOW!

Many mobologists have speculated through the years that his nickname, "Jimmy I," was not a nod to his surname, but rather a reference to "Jimmy Icepick" because, supposedly, he was such a "tough guy."

We now know that this rat's nickname "Jimmy I' was really a hidden reference to "Jimmy Informant." LOL
