February 19, 2023 — One suggested resolution to the acrimony in the Bonanno crime family right now is to have shelved capo Joe (Joey G) Grimaldi officially re-activated so he can pay Bonanno boss Michael (Mikey Nose) Mancuso to lift the murder contracts on the Cammarano brothers, according to two separate sources with knowledge of the discussions. Per one of these sources, a top adviser to Mancuso presented the idea as a way to stop any future violence.

Joey Grimaldi, 53, is reportedly a big earner and the only person Mancuso will communicate with in the Cammarano faction of the organization. Grimaldi has been actively politicking the past few months to protect the Cammaranos, who he is close to and related to by marriage. “Joe C” is married to “Joey G’s” sister.

“Mikey’s guys want Joey to give him a big chunk of cash and have Mikey let this all go………..they want Joey active and for him to start kicking up again., they know he knows how to clock and collect…….his earning potential has value and Mikey’s guys are telling him to leverage it, ” a source claims.

One source says the number that has been discussed is $250,000. Another source claims it’s higher, more like $500,000 to $1,000,000.

Mancuso is wild to say the least...telling Bellomo f*ck you at that....wow....ruthless ill give him that...if anything i still want to know what Joe C had against Mikey in order to make a power move on him which then has brought all of this, why didnt Joe C just stay put as Mikeys Acting Boss like he was...maybe im thinking about it too mucc idk, just curious if he had a specific reason other then just to make a move finally.

I think it was the family being unsatisfied with Mancuso's leadership and those he placed in Acting positions and his own ambitions in which he felt emboldened to act on since the Lucchese Family wasn't recognizing Mancuso.

I blame Joe C's stupidity. Going against your own boss is simply outrageous. If I was Mancuso I'd tell Joey Grimaldi he's back in and that he's got the family's full support, but the Cammaranos need to leave New York. No one gets hurt.

All speculation based on rumors. Nothing will happen. I recall years ago posters here had nothing but hatred for Mancuso, many said he’d be dead in no time after jail. Guess we'll see him in 5-11 months. Pretty sure that's what his deal he made was but the judge didn't accept it.

They didn't even get to the sentencing yet. The judge wants clarification. In one of the earlier documents the government laid out, I think, the change in violation.

All i know is they did have a deal worked out but the judge wouldn't accept it. Mancuso was looking at 2 years for the violations but the deal knocked it down to 5-11 months.

Do you have a copy of the minutes from Thursday's hearing? That would clarify what was said/not said by the judge and the deal worked out.
