January 24, 2023 — The Mouse is back in the house.
Former Philadelphia mafia underboss Joe (Mousie) Massimino was released from prison to a federal halfway house this week after serving 12 years of a 15-year sentence for racketeering. Massimino, 73, was the No. 2 man in the Bruno-Scarfo crime family for most of the 2000s.

massimino is a soldier now correct.whose crew does he fall under ? i would think by now someone other then massimino is already UB or ACTING UB for imprisoned mazzone? he got 5years in december. any thoughts on who that may be? philly seems to have a strong family even with some more recent arrests.

Dont see it happening right now. Georgie Borgesi is acting boss. He has made some moves over the years that I dont see him leaving that post until the others get out. Strong possiblity that Joe becomes acting underboss, or the very least a capo.

Nah he has 3 years of supervised release. Mazzone has probably already been replaced. Unless Massimino wants to go serve the remainder of his sentence he won't be getting any position anytime soon.
another question? merlino is boss and judging from that most recent pic with trump unencumbered by parole restrictions. merlino it is reported spends most of his time in florida. philly to florida is not far geographically. michael lancellotti has been named street boss and holds down the street action in philly. joseph ligambi has been id'd as consigliere back in 2020 and may still hold title in 2023. 3 out of 4 admin members r free and on the street. my question being why would there be a need for borgesi to be acting boss?

The correct answer is, there isn't a need. A "street boss" is essentially either the "acting boss" or more often, the "underboss" of a borgata. So you have the "official boss," possibly an "acting boss" if the boss is incarcerated or unavailable for a lengthy period, the "underboss" or "street boss," and a "consigliere."
I see it as Lancellotti handing the day to day while Borgesi is there to handle and rule on any bigger issues that arise since Merlino isn't always available being in Florida. Lancellotti runs the family for now but Borgesi and Merlino have the final say in everything if they please
ok thank you. makes sense from that point of view. merlino is just living the life then collecting envelopes and golfing with the DONALD. borgesi and merlino are running family in tandem. lancellotti deals with all the street level day-to-day details. also now acting UB because of his SB position. is he also a capo with his own crew? sorry for the repetition but the street boss position in philly is confusing. kinda confusing with all families as some don't have one. and ligambi as consigliere. does ligambi still spend most of his time in the philly area?
u would think with mazzone going away and massimino coming out it would be a simple math solution but it dont work that way i know. there has been 2 UB's since he was one and a couple guys on the street that might want the acting or official title soon.
