How someone 1/2 Irish could become the top dog in the Italian LCN, is baffling to me. Only because he comes from the true blood era. I understand that NOW, only the father has to be Italian.
In general, it's a different world today, a more blended world. The same holds true (to an extent) in Cosa Nostra. Thats why you see that. So many intermarriages. Years ago that would have never happened.
