Precautionary custody in prison for boss Vincenzo Alvaro has been confirmed by the Cassation .
The judges of the second criminal section of the Supreme Court, as reported by Adnkronos, have rejected the appeal presented by the Alvaro defense against the decision of the Rome Review last June on the pre-trial detention ordered in the context of the maxi "Propaggine" investigation of the District Directorate Antimafia of Rome and Dia against the first official "locale" 'Ndrangheta in the capital which led to the arrest of about forty people, including Antonio Carzo.
According to the investigations, coordinated by the deputy prosecutors Michele Prestipino and Ilaria Calò and the prosecutors Giovanni Musarò, Francesco Minisci and Stefano Luciani, the heads of the 'ndrina in Rome were Alvaro and Carzo : Carzo himself in the summer of 2015 had received from the parent company from the 'Ndrangheta the authorization to set up a club in the capital. "We in Rome are an offshoot down there," they said in an intercepted phone call.
