Maxi blitz against the 'Ndrangheta in Linz in Austria

BOLZANO – Last night the Austrian police carried out a vast operation against the 'Ndrangheta, in which 120 Austrian policemen and also some carabinieri took part. The blitz was triggered on the basis of an international rogatory requested by the Catanzaro prosecutor's office. A total of 14 places were searched , primarily pizzerias but also offices and apartments . At the center of the investigation would be a restaurant manager who operates in Austria and Bavaria suspected – according to what the Austrian press writes – of being affiliated with the 'Ndrangheta. In Austria the investigation is in the hands of the public prosecutors of Linz and Steyr.
