The abbreviated trial of the ‘Perseverance’ operation, which began on 12 March 2021 in the wake of the ‘Aemilia’ and ‘Grimilde’ investigations, ended before the Gup of the Bologna court Claudio Paris with 22 convictions, two acquittals and 14 plea bargains. The investigation, coordinated by prosecutor Beatrice Ronchi, focused on the infiltration of the clans into the economy of the area where the Emilian gang, as other sentences have sanctioned, is an autonomous and deep-rooted group.
The judge inflicted 16 years on Salvatore Muto, 15 on Domenico Cordua, 14 years and four months on Giuseppe Friyio, 14 on Salvatore Procopio, 13 years and 4 months on Giuseppe Caso, 8 years on Alberto Alboresi, Genoveffa Colucciello and Nicolino Sarcone.
