If they were they wouldn't call themselves Italians.
Africa only went so far before it reminded the world it was African. It was called Italy.
The Irish call themselves Irish, people form England say they are British or English, Germans call themselves Germans...I guess you don't consider them White either. I hope you were drunk or joking, if you weren't it's a shame on you.
