Former Quebec Hells Angels boss Maurice Boucher has died at 69

Former Hells Angel Maurice "Mom" Boucher, regarded as one of the most infamous criminals in Quebec history, has been reported dead, according to La presse and TVA Nouvelles.
Boucher was reportedly suffering from cancer while serving a 22 years-to-life sentence at the Sainte-Anne-des-Pleines Penitentiary north of Montreal. He had been transferred to a correctional health-care centre before his death.
Boucher was one of Quebec's most notorious criminals. Prior to his incarceration, he controlled a multi-million dollar drug trafficking empire.
In 2002, Boucher was jailed following for ordering the assassination of two Quebec prison guards, Pierre Rondeau and Diane Lavigne.
During his time in prison, he also pleaded guilty to a conspiracy to kill rival underworld figure Raynald Desjardins, who himself was jailed after being sentenced for conspiracy in the slaying of Mob boss Salvatore Montagna in 2011.
