I haven’t posted in a while; but how powerful was Bill Cutolo??
Carmine Persico and Little Allie Persico obviously thought (Cutolo) was a threat. How much power did he have when he was underboss of the family??? Was he just underboss in-name or was he actually a large figure in the family???
Also what year did he get made??? Also what year did he become a captain??!?
What was his relationship with Carmine Persico and Gerry Langella??
Would love some responses!!

https://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-2nd-circuit/1566135.htmlDiLeonardo, as a captain in the Gambino Crime Family, served as that family's liaison with the Colombo Family. (See id. at 1729.) He was friendly with DeRoss, whose grandchildren played football on a team with DiLeonardo's son, and was even more friendly with Persico. (See id . at 2106–07, 1797–98.) DiLeonardo testified that, in his liaison capacity, he met with Cutolo dozens of times (see id. at 1732), and he viewed Cutolo as having aspirations to become the boss of the Colombo Family (see, e.g., id. at 1821 (“You could see him coming like a train”; he “had a lot of momentum behind him. He wasn't about to sit still? He was all about Cosa Nostra, and he wanted to wear the main hat, the main.”)). DiLeonardo was concerned that Cutolo might kill Persico. (See, e.g., id. at 1822 (Cutolo “was a threat to Allie”; “he would have killed him. I know he would have killed Allie in time.”).) DiLeonardo thus warned Persico, “Bill has boss mentality”; Persico understood what that meant.

Would love some responses!! Supposedly according to Jr. Persico isn't the one who had him killed and ia trying to get him off the hook for the murder. Makes no sense to me at all. Waiting to see what the story behind it is.

I'm asking why Cutolo dorsnt made his move after Allie boy was sentenced for gun possession?Or because he let his guard down after was made underboss? It was many years after the "TRUCE" was made that Cutolo was murdered. The war was over at that point. The family was diminished to a just a few viable crews. Cutolo was very very powerful He had I think the largest crew in the family, with a handful of Shooters. His crew were making big big money on Wall-Street He controlled multiple wall street brokerage firms He controlled two unions He had his fingers in the tele-communications business He controlled a large catering hall, on Ft.Hamilton Ave Had a lot, a lot of money on the street They had Chis The Binger and Liquid Night club in Florida They had drug spots at the Limelight and the Palladium All the designer drugs That's just what I know about

Sorta what Scarpa Jr. tried doing for Orena and Amato, testifying on their behalf in court with depositions. The theory didn't fly with the courts. It won't here either. I never heard that before Scarpa Jr. Testified for Orena? WOW... But if you think about it It is a little different in the sense I believe Jr. testified at trial against Allie Boy, That would be like a witness re-canting? Im sure it will come out soon enough Jr. is all over the place giving interviews with whoever is listening I am waiting to see him on his own Pod Cast soon enough, LOL

I am wondering what information was brought to his attention that he now believes that Persico, did not order the hit? And who could it have been that ordered the hit is not him?
INTERESTING?
It's a stretch since Allie Boy was the acting boss but who knows. I do think he got an unfair shake in the courtroom Unfair shake He never should have been charged After he was convicted their whole theory wasn’t even close I think the jury convicted them on Something to do with a boat or he was thrown in the ocean Once Caves and Calabro flipped and told the story He should have gotten a new trial I’m not sure what’s going on with Jr. I seen a 30 second clip it looked like he was talking to somebody he was telling them he was working with Persico’s lawyer because he now doesn’t think Persico was behind it. If that is the case how doesn’t this guy get a new trial If he want Italian he never even would have been charged with the lack of evidence they had then.
