A fictionalization of The Westies. I have always found this movie to be vastly underrated. I never see it on lists of top mob movies even though I find it to be far superior to stuff like Black Mass, The Irishman, or American Gangster. Ed Harris plays the Hollywood version of Jimmy Coonan and Gary Oldman absolutely nails it as the stereotypical boozed-up, crazy westie soldier. This movie is a must see for mob movie fans and we seem to hear very little about it.
