Pete Milano was the Boss and his brother was the underboss and Louie Gelfuso was the Capo that handled most of the Bookies,Loan Sharks and Drug dealers that payed the LA family for “protection” and mainly to be able to have the prestige of saying that they were with a Mafia family...Jimmy Caci was the other Capo that handled most of the rest of the LA Family rackets especially in Palm Springs...
The fat Herbie hit was not done by the LA Family Heriarachy ..It was an off the reservation job done by Bronco who was an unemployed lawn mower man and a crony...LA and Buffalo did not sanction it and they were acquitted of it..Fat Herbie was already kicking up money to Steve Cino, he did not want to hit Fat Herbie
