The premise that Paul Castellano was innocent of profiteering from child pornography, underage age prostitution and human trafficking simply because there is no mention of those rackets in the wiretap recordings of his home in Staten Island is undermined by the fact that; 1.) He was never indicted for anything he was recorded saying at his home, he was under indictment for the Roy DeMeo car theft ring based on witness testimony. 2.) Robert Dibernardo reported directly to Castellano and while there may not be evidence that Dibernardo paid any money to Castellano, the court of public opinion demands that the obvious be stated. Clearly Castellano was receiving lucrative payments from Dibernardo's porn rackets and while he probably didn't ask for the dirty details, he knew exactly what of kind sordid business the Sex Industry was and still accepted payments from not only Dibernardo but also DeMeo, Roy had been warned by Nino Gaggi to stop it or be killed but Nino continued to accept payments from Roy. 3) Had he gone to trial before being killed, there's little doubt that full disclosure of his repeated acceptance of payments from various porn rackets would implicate him as deeply as if he had been the auctioneer at the sex trade shopping block.
