He had the nickname of "Freddy the Sidge" and he was an early Anastasia/ Gambino soldier who lived and operated in Brooklyn until several guys walked into his shop and knocked him dead. The mob discovered he had been an FBI and FBN informer for years. So the shot him to death.

This was never brought out at the time of his killing (that he was cooperating). But it was revealed later
