I have an essay due tomorrow. The topic is to pick a fictional character and explain how they went against the will of society.

There is a quote in the novel that I can't find, and I need to use it in my essay. I spent both of my study halls today looking. The quote is about how Don Vito could not be ruled by laws of society/government. That he was too great of man to do this. Does anyone know which quote I'm talking about? More importantly, does anyone know what page # it's on? Please help a fellow member out.
