The Zottola murder was NOT a mob hit, it was just the case of a greedy son wanting all that his father had. I don't know how he sleeps at night. Neither father or son were made men, but even if they were, it's still not a mob hit. But I see your point.
Neither were made, but they had been close to the mob life for years and years. Point is, even if situations like these that concern associates turn into such a sloppy mess no made guy is gonna take the risk, let alone in a situation that concerns other made men.
